? for needlepointers on using different type threads in one piece by
Mmeindia
Hi, I am a longtime lurker/infrequent poster here on RCTN and I have a question
for any needlepointers who may be here.
I have a painted canvas in the pattern of a patchwork quilt that I have just
started. It is made up of nine blocks; the blocks themselves are made up of
diagonal stripes, with...

Trying to Find Pattern by
Sharon
I was moseying thru some sites one day and came across some designs
that I really liked and know my friend, who is very hard to buy for at
Christmas, would adore them. However, I forgot to make note of the
designer, etc. They were patterns of ladies - elongated I guess you'd
say - with big...

Stitching Challenge by
Maureen In Vancouver, B.C.
What was the most challenging piece people have stitched? I'm looking to
start something that's going to make my brain work, and be complicated
enough, and detailed enough to look drop-dead gorgeous by the time it's
finished. The "off the shelf" projects that are out there today just don't...

Charts that made me smile by
Cheryl Isaak
I don't think I'm ordering anything. The only one I really want is a $75
kit. Ouch - even if everything to finish it is included....
so here's what made me take a second or third...

You done good Tia Mary by
Dawne Peterson
I noticed this morning there were more new posts--actual readable
interesting posts and not the idiotic spambot stuff--than there have been
for a while. All because Tia Mary took it upon herself to post a good topic
to get us all started talking. True, we have wandered a bit from needlework...

Doomed! by
[email protected]
I feel doomed not to start Bagatelle.
First, I ordered 32 ct lugana for it from Silkweaver, fabric arrived,
but was paler than I expected. Much paler.
I sent it back, asked for recommendations for other luganas that might
work, got linens recommended instead--at only twice the price!
After a...

Non-U.S. sources for DMC Coton a Broder by
elaine
I know that DMC has stopped selling the Coton a Broder thread to U.S.
distributors, and I'm on the prowl for an alternative source -- in the
U.K., NZ, Australia, or wheverever else I could do business. (I can
only pay with credit cards and I know that can be limiting.)
I am interested in a range...

Hard to find embroidery designs by
Annie
Help!
I've been searching stores and the internet for hard to find hand
embroidery designs such as eagles, flip flops, peacocks, old floral
designs (not Martha what's her name), sports, and a unique praying
cowboy with horse.
Any suggestions?

hello again by
Susan Hartman[_2_]
Hello, friends -
I haven't been around in a long while, and thought I'd pop in and say
hello. I'm telling you, full-time work really gets in the way of
stitching time! But I keep at it (the stitching, that is), just much
more slowly.
I've made myself a promise to finish WIPs before undertaking...

A TNNA Show Visit to Long Beach, CA by
Lula
Traveling to the TNNA trade show just held in Long Beach was more of a
vacation than I imagined.....the most noticeable treat was leaving 14
degrees, ice and snow to balmy temps, sunshine and waving palm trees of
Southern CA.
We did some fun shopping at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa...

My neighbor just stopped by from the Plant City, FL, strawberry fields

strawberries!!!! They smell so sweet, DH couldn't wait to sample one. It
is hard for diabetics, but a small amount of strawberries he can tolerate!
OK, there are a...

Beautiful Threads by
Suzanne
Has anyone tried any charts from the Beautiful Threads designers? From
what I can see of the pictures from different web sites, the charts are
very elaborate and look almost as good as photographs. Of course, we
all know what you see online is not necessarily what you get. If anyone
here has...
