what is your favourite type & brand of knitting needle? by
Linda D.
Hi everyone,
I recently bought four different sizes of circular needles,
and was quite amazed there were at least three different brands and
prices to choose from. I bought the Aero needles, as they are very
reasonably priced, and have been satisfied with Aero for years. The
yarn shop also had...

6x6 for Nov. received by
NoraBalcer
Yes, I'm part of CNN, but wanted to let everyone know that I've received my
squares from Dennis and they are lovely. He did variations of granny squares.
Thank you Dennis and I'm very happy to have been your first partner.

Btw, have I told you...? by
Anna Vuori
Some of you know of this, some of you do not know. Let's start from the
beginning.
Auntie Nora sent me some lovely yarn some time ago. Mohair yarn and usual
yarn. The usual yarn is on ball but untouched. The mohairyarn...part of it
is in use, part of it is not in use. I have told here I have...

Don't let me on ebay anymore - too much yarn to tempt me! by
Elsa
Went on ebay on Sunday morning.... and I am now richer by 6500 yards of laceweight wool yarn.
Do not even have a project in mind. Have not ever knit in laceweight. The colors just drew
me in... reminds me of the scene in A Bug's Story where the bugs are drawn in by the light...
and get zapped. ...

Wool Winder by
droid
Hi everyone
I have taken up spinning again but cannot find my wool winder. It is
probably under that enormous pile of yarns etc in the loft but I just can't
face starting to it yet. Has anyone any idea where I could get a wool
winder. I am in Northern Ireland and have rung the few shops here...

toddler poncho by
SuperEeyore
So about a month or so ago I saw a really cute poncho at Baby Gap for a
toddler. It was diamond shaped, where it comes to a V in the front and
back. And it had stripes in that V shape, maybe two to three inches wide.
I think it was hooded too. And fringe.
Was I smart enough to save the picture...

Handmade Knitting Needles by
Shirley Luton
Hi,
I find with my arthritis that wooden knitting needles are more comfortable
than steel. Does anyone know of a web-site that discusses making needles by
hand, or do you have any experience? I've found a couple of sites, but am
still looking for more!
Thanks
Shirley

Chenille Yarn by
Shirley Luton
Hi,
I expect someone in the group can help me on this!
I'm thinking of knitting a sweater in chenille. Has anyone experience with
the Lion Brand of chenille? It is certainly less expensive than some of the
other brands, but I'd hate to put in the effort if the sweater won't turn
out well (it's...

Regarding Addi-Turbo's and Inox Express by
Noreen's Knit*che
Sorry, the post disappeared on me so I couldn't reply there....
Anyway, I use both, and LOVE them, except when doing cables, then
I need something a tad less slippery.
I believe the one who asked about needles was also a newbie...
WELCOME!!!

Martin posted the picture of my shadow shawl on his site; and there is a

there also.
