Isn't it funny how a small delay will invert you to not shopping there that
day. :)
Grinning for your good luck, and hug your child again. :)

OT - Ouch! says Diana by
frood
Diana C. wants me to tell you there was a minor incident with a carving
tool and she um... rearranged the landscape of her knuckle. It hurts for her
to type, so I'm passing along the info. Let's see if we can't make her laugh
hard enough to keep her mind off it for awhile.
Remember, she can't...

Happy Birthday Taria!!!! by

Spike and Giles will do their traditional St. Nicholas Eve dance in honor of
your special day - they hop around with a Christmas stocking on one foot,
before hanging them up on the mantel.

Gift Idea ..HELP! by
Christina Doucette
Hi Ladies,
I know you wont fail me. I forgot that my closest co-worker turns 50 on
December 10th. I have been racking my brain to think of what I can make her
for the BIG event. Some sort of useful, yet funny gift would be great to
make. Either an "over the Hill"...(no offence to anyone in...

on topic for once: bernina stitch regulator by
DrQuilter
I stopped at the Viking area at my JoAnn's yesterday (the lovely ladies
remembered Sofia even if they hadn't seen her for a while, name and all,
of course she was wearing another hand knit sweater I made for her and
they had commented about the previous one so that helped). Back on
topic: I asked...

Post Office Woes (Mostly-OT) by
JL
I'm having post office woe's. I am missing two, possibly three packages.
Two, the website says were delivered on 11/23.
Oddly enough, on 11/23, somebody other than an authorized person used my
credit card. And, I checked, dh and I both have our credit cards.
One of the packages was swimsuits,...

OT - The Christmas Bakeoff by
Sharon Harper
has begun and is halfway over. I made the Christmas Cakes last week (1
devoured, 1 left!).
Today's effort has been 2 dozen vanilla cupcakes and 1 dozen "Christmas"
cupcakes thanks to Nigella Lawson. Oh man that woman is a genius. I bow
down in humble servitude - where does she get these...

Mom's Quilty Christmas presents by
Debra
My mom loves to find the perfect quilting motif for each quilt and she
has exhausted all her local quilting pattern sources, so I knew I
wanted to give her a book chocked full of quilting designs. I made a
search at the nearest Barnes & Noble and hit pay dirt! Not one book,
but two! Continuous...

Sample blocks ideas needed by
frood
I'm in charge of the block of the month for my guild. Each month I hand out
a block pattern and instructions, as well as some of the fabric to make the
block. I've been making sample blocks of each one, and I've also been making
some examples of what can be done with the blocks. Instead of 1 or 2...

Shipping by
teleflora
Ok, it's really starting to bug me. I know that the price of everything is
going up, but explain to me why shipping a CD to me should cost a company
$7.98? I would rather the CD cost me $8 more than to feel like I'm getting
ripped off like this. I emailed them and said I could DRIVE to Kansas...
