Anyone want a bag? by
Sandy Foster
I have a Bernina sewing machine bag -- the black kind with red lettering
and straps to hold it securely to a luggage carrier -- that I no longer
need. Rather than store it or -- horrors -- pitch it out, I'd like to
see if anyone wants/needs it. Make me an offer. ;)

The next morning we stopped at the Dakota Quilt Company in Spearfish. They
have lots of country fabrics and some lovely gift items in a converted
house. They have very pleasant staff; they also have a long arm-quilting
machine. They gave us info on heading down the Spearfish Canyon...

Stuck in a rut by

I don't wanna sew. Ok, so I want to, but that means I have to clean my
room first. Jeanne's gonna be here in about 2 weeks, and I'm freaking
out about my sewing room....looks like a tornado hit it. I'm just
getting over the flu....and well, aaaaaaaaaaaaack. Ok, feel better now,
just had to get...

Hand Piecing - What Stitch do you use by
Sally Swindells
English hand piecing (eg hexagons with papers) - I know what I am
doing (a rare experience!)
Paper piecing - I use stitch and tear because it lends itself to hand
sewing and I use a backstitch because I feel I need the extra strength
because of tearing the paper away.
But what stitch does anyone...

WIP - CUPPS 50TH ANNIVERSARY by
SNIGDIBBLY
I finished the Morning Glories creeping up the Oak Tree. I used star beads
and pearls to do the centers of the blooms. I also added tiny pearl beads
to the white Alysseum. Today I added the burgandy 3d rose buds and leaves
to the vine on the gate. I plan to finish the phlox bank with beads to...

On the weather report last night they said that some areas of Salt Lake City
had up to one inch of rain! They also predicted more rain for today.
Great, mom and I had left our shoes in the car and were only wearing
sandals. A quick dash to the car, lots of wind, not any rain yet to...

sewing progress and woes by
Ann
Well, I fixed the tension problem on my sewing machine....but good. Tuesday
evening after work I decided I was going to make good headway on quilting
the quilt for the wedding. The tension kept fading in and out on me, thread
kept breaking. Seemed to me the tension disks might have a thread...

Eastern Ontario S.E.X. by

It was my birthday last weekend, and for a special treat I decided I
wanted to do the shop hop that was occurring in the area
(Kingston-Harrowsmith-Prescott-Merrickville-Brockville.) Six shops in
five towns.
I took the day off of work, giving an excuse that I had to drive my
fiance to the Ottawa...

In Henryetta that night we had Tornado warnings farther to the north in
Oklahoma and Kansas. Pretty much where we would have been if we had not
gone to Paducah. Two-inch hail fell, so we were glad to be farther south.
As we started our journey we spotted a deer grazing along the highway.
Woke...

We were up and on the train to Chicago by 7:40. We only had to make 9 of
the possible 13 stops into town. Our first stop was to get a new camera
battery for me at Walgreen's then we were off to my aunt's doctor's
appointment. Fortunately they took her in early and she got some good news.

Finally finished :) by

Last summer I took a class in hand appliqué and learned to do celtic
designs. It was the first time I'd been able to do hand appliqué with
any success at all. I can't match Rose's accomplishment g, but I've
finally finished the table runner I started last July and which I've
worked on only...

Your Pick swap~awesome results so far!!! by
Terbear
Hi Ladies!
Good morning!
I have to share with you the results of the first two swaps that took place.
Each member of this swap selected a "focus fabric", and a piece was then
sent to each remaining member. Those members took the fabric & made a quilt
block out of them. They could use any pattern,...

OK so I shouldn't be surprised, after all, I _am_ an erisian.
I'm going to have to point out to her that somebody else needs her
personal attention. Just as soon as I figure out who deserves most to
be so "blessed".
So we have this window that needs to be stripped and have channeling
