Twisted Log Cabin by
Jan
Has anyone made this quilt from Simply Quilts? I'm thinking of making it in
neutrals, but not sure if the design will stand out enough? Any comments?
TIA

ladysailor
This looks like a busy group, I hope someone here can help me out.
I just pulled out my two year old Brother XR-65 to make a new winch
cover for our boat and found I only have reverse. The last time I used
the machine was about 6 months ago and all was fine then. The boat
lives on our boat in...

triangles, dratted things by
Cheryl in Oz
Oh poor Martha!
If you have already cut all the triangles try using a little spray starch or
fabric conditioner to "stabilise" the triangles, but be careful not to
distort them when PRESSING (note - NOT ironing LOL)
If you haven't cut them all switch to the HST method described by...

fusible applique by
Paulette in WV
I normally love to needleturn applique but it seems to take me forever to
get things done. I need to do a dragon for a mom to be, and thought fusible
might get me done a bit faster (then machine quilting and finishing). I
bought some Heat and Bond light, but must be doing something wrong. ...

Contemplating siggie swap by
Georg
So if I were to host an RCTQ siggie swap, what do I do about postage?
This is something that does baffle me. How would I cope with
self-addressed stamped envelopes from overseas? I know I could not
afford to foot the bill for everyone's international postage no matter
how many FQs were gained in...

Okay, I found a roll of this paper like stuff that seems slightly
firmer/thicker than pattern tissue paper that my garment patterns come
printed on -- it waas just hanging out in the closet that serves as my

I'm not looking a...

triangles, dratted things by
Estelle Gallagher
How about using the HST method. This is where you mark a diagonal line with a
pencil through a square which is cut bigger to allow for seam allowance.ie:
for a 4 1/2" square you will need to cut the 2 squares 4 7/8th "Put this
right sides together with the 2nd colour square and sew a 1/4 " seam...
