A mm at a time by
Marie Dodge[_2_]
It took many tries as I moved the sky piece a mm at a time, then ripped it
out again, re sewed it over and over until it was in the right place.
Sticking to 1/4" seam on this machine is a total nightmare. I can see why
there is no 1/4" mark on it.

OT - Struggling with Outlook by
sharonoz
My wonderful DH decided that our computer needed a complete "cut and
polish" ie reformat everything. Not such a bad idea but he has loaded
Outlook 2007 as our new email client (versus Outlook Express which I
love). I used to be able to use OE to read the newsgroup messages in
their...

Shoes for a Caterpillar? by
Polly Esther[_2_]
If you are ever, ever going to make a crib quilt, you need to see The
Very Hungry Caterpillar at www.andoverfabrics.com . My quilts for the
preemies are much smaller than Andover's, of course, so I only made the
caterpillar but this is a pattern I think everyone will enjoy.
The only...

Tom and Jerry ..The fabric, not the cartoon by
oldhag
Quilting treasures has a line of Tom and Jerry fabric, well not to
mention the Wizard of Oz line also, that I am searching for. I had no
luck using the seach in quiltshops.com and my usual tricks for searching
have had no results. My DGD is addicted to Tom and Jerry cartoons and I

Sewing space ideas by
John
I came across this site, while doing a web search for something else.
While I don't agree with everything the author says about sewing
areas, She does have some interesting ideas for designing sewing
areas.I especially liked the small closet spaces that she uses for
complete sewing spaces. They...

Marie's triangles by
Patti
I thought it might be helpful to start a new day with a new thread!
To achieve a rectangle of 1" x 2" finished:
Having seen the pictures, I have now drawn out the triangles in
question.
The centre larger triangle, when the seam allowances have been added on,
should measure 3 1/8" along the base...

What sewing machine do you wish for? by
Maureen Wozniak
Mary asked how many machines do you have? I want to know what machine do you
wish for.
I lust after a treadle in a pretty cabinet. Not likely to ever run across
one of those.
I also wish for an old Kenmore like the one MSM had when I was growing up. I
know nothing about it except that it...
