At the request of some of the group members who will remain nameless, this
is the first of many, many reminders (aka nagging posts) for the Directory.
The form is now open for entries. Even if you are a current member of the
Directory, your info needs to be entered. If you are not a current...

Viking Mega Quilter by
KittyG
Ho Ho Ho! I guess I was a very good girl this year.
I am now the proud owner of a Viking Mega Quilter.
What a beautiful machine this is. The harp is 9 x 6 and there is a large
extension bed. It does up to 1600 spm, although I have found it is way too
fast for my stippling it is easy to control...

which batting??? by
Cheryl in Oz
Wool blend batting - every time!
Soft, warm, washable, can be quilted as little or as much as you like
(Matilda's Own up to 10" apart), lovely to work with, never had a problem
with bearding but comes in dark now if you want it - wouldn't use anything
else.
I have tried cotton and cotton blends,...

OK, I've had enough, it's 9.5 degrees F. outside this morning!
This is Virginia!
We haven't even reached the winter solstice!
I would move further south but I don't want to be near a hurricane
either. AND I am breakfast, lunch, and dinner to blood sucking
insects!

Sally Swindells
I have been helping a Norwegian friend who belongs to an Animal Rescue
organisation and has found a British microchipped dog running as a
stray in Norway. However, the microchip was never registered by the
vet who put it in, so its useless, and the dog had no collar.
I was looking through various...

Grandpa in hospital Update by

He is on antibiotics and still taking tests. They still have not
found a specific problem that would cause his jaundice, but he is
looking less yellow and he has perked up a bit. I saw him last night,
but can't get there today because of sleet and freezing rain. I feel
sure he will continue...

Have you BTDT? by

Thought you could use a giggle today!
You have to be old enough to remember Abbott and Costello, and too old to
REALLY understand computers, to fully appreciate this.
For those of us who sometimes get flustered by our computers, please read
on...
