OT old messages by Shirley
We seem to be getting a lot of old messages just lately. However here is one from an old lady. I woke this morning to find myself an Octogenarian. It is my 80th birthday. Hugs to all -- Shirley www.allcrafts.org.uk

I joined the group in October and have been posting since I discovered this great group. I see some of you post daily and others come in when they can. I thought it might be nice for those of us who are newer to the group to get to know the rest of you. I saw another newbie on the threads the...

A-Z of New York by Kate Hare
Hi, I've been toying with the idea of designing an alphabet needlepoint wall-hanging but wanted a theme besides the usual A is for apple.... I thought about doing an International version with each letter in a foreign language before deciding it was way too complicated. Then I thought about doing...

OT - Been to the airport lately ? by Julie
Hi ! I haven't been to an airport ( until yesterday ) since about 6 weeks before the 9-11attacks. I had to send my two older children ( teens ) to Baltimore from Detroit for the weekend. Because of the kids ages, they were travelling as UA minors, so I got a pass through to go with them to...

have asked before, but hope for more info by gw
Does anyone know what happened to Aardvark Territorial Enterprise--- (ATE) in Livermore, California? I moved, and while moving lost track of them, (they weren't online) and now can't find them anywhere. I actually called Livermore, and got some little girl who had worked six months, who allowed as...

Books about Stitches - longish list by Dianne Lewandowski
Ooooh, there's a few on this list I would like to add . . . but only a few. You're a counted stitcher, and your list exemplifies it. huge grin I would second your nominations for Carolyn Ambuter's "The Open Canvas", McNeils "Pulled Thread"; Montano's ribbon embroidery; Coats & Clark's 100...

Needlepoint Fabric by Lucille[_3_]
I'm looking for a small, 12" by 12" piece of blue 18 count mono canvas. The only place I can find it is Nordic Needle and they will only cut it the entire width of the fabric, which is way more than I need or want to store. Does anyone know a place that will cut a small piece for me? Lucille

Looking for a 12 Days of Christmas pattern by Meredith
My mom did this for her sister about 10 years ago and can't find the pattern... I have no idea if it's a chart or from a magazine, either. It was shaped like a Christmas tree, with the gold ring at the top, 2 turtle doves on the next line down, and so on. I couldn't find it in the Hoffmandis...

aprons by Susan Hartman
Got this from a friend: The History of APRONS FW: The History of Aprons (not a joke) I don't think our kids know what an apron is. The principal use of Grandma's apron was to protect the dress underneath. Because she only had a few, it was easier to wash aprons than dresses and they used less...

Firehouse Angel Framing Finale by Tia Mary
HI Guys, I went back to both Michael's and Susan's today to take a second look at the stuff and discuss placement of the little plaque. The lady at Michael's framing did NOT want to have anything to do with putting the plaque on the mat -- no way, no how! She said she **would** do it but really...

depressed over Martha by sally
You know, no matter what we may feel about Martha, you have to admit that it's pretty sad what has happened to her. She presents crafting to the masses in an excellent manner. She doesn't bore the s#$t out of us with her personality or her personal woes like other celebrity hosts, she just cooks,...
