Lost Chart & Raise the Roof by
ellice
I'm just sending a note to say these folks at Raise the Roof designs were
really nice about helping me get my lost "Scooba Dooba" information
replaced.
Not that they're in the business of sending out replacement charts for
freebies - but I sent them a note about losing the chart, where I bought...

A TNNA Show Visit to Long Beach, CA by
Lula
Traveling to the TNNA trade show just held in Long Beach was more of a
vacation than I imagined.....the most noticeable treat was leaving 14
degrees, ice and snow to balmy temps, sunshine and waving palm trees of
Southern CA.
We did some fun shopping at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa...

O.T. My poor city. by
Olwyn Mary
To add insult to injury, New Orleans had a couple of tornadoes go
through last night!!! This is almost unheard of, especially at this season.
The forecasters had warned us of thunderstorms, but last night I was
more afraid than I was during Katrina, which I rode here, or Rita, which
I rode just...

Book recommendations for Ukrainian Openwork??? by
Mavia Beaulieu
At the beginning of the year I'll be starting a GCC called Ukrainian
Openwork.
http://www.egausa.org/EduCat2004/EdCatPg39.htm
Part of the course description says:
This whitework course teaches Ukrainian pulled thread, drawn thread, and
needle weaving techniques.
I'd appreciate any recommendations...

need a light by
Boohoo1971
I visit my daughter and would like to be able to do needlework when she is out
or busy. I would like to do the needlework in my hands rather than a frame of
some sort. There is not a good needleworking light in her house, and the best
chair for needlework is not near an outlet. She has a three...

Vintage stash additions - Beldings & Corticelli brands by
Laury Walkey
The other day I was just coming out of a local used bookstore where I
had just purchased some needleworking books and walked past the
'vintage' used clothing store down the street. I happened to notice in
the window a box of embroidery threads and just had to ask if it was for
display or for sale....

So what have you finished so far this year? by
bungadora
It's half way through the year, and time to take stock before Xmas
throws us all into a dither. How many projects have you completed and
what is your favorite project so far, finished or unfinished?
So far, all I've finished is a crazy quilt chicken pincushion, and my
favorite project is Elian...

Ready for some S.E.X.--What's new out there? by
[email protected]
Now that we are once again happily settled into our home (albeit, lots
of boxes are still awaiting my attention) I'm SO ready for a good day
of S.E.X.!
I literally did not pay a bit of attention to the results of the
January show, nor have I been near a shop since before the fire.
I like samplers...

Garage Sale Needlework by

A Geeez whiz moment......caught a segment on HG-TV Tuesday night,
believe the program is titled Decorating Cents.
Anyway.....the interior designer was using a piece of needlework that
was once a lovely Elsa Williams needlework design sold in The Stitchery
catalog during the late 70's or early 80's...

Beautiful Threads by

Has anyone tried any charts from the Beautiful Threads designers? From
what I can see of the pictures from different web sites, the charts are
very elaborate and look almost as good as photographs. Of course, we
all know what you see online is not necessarily what you get. If anyone
here has...

Oh, my.... by
Tracey
After having all of my cross stitch experience (little as it is) be
with Aida cloth, yesterday I started my first piece on linen. And
I just have to say. Yuck. Ick. This is soooo sloooooooooooow. :P
Humor me. Tell me I'll get faster as I get used to it.
