Poor vision, can't see the beads! : ( by
Arleen
Well, I have reached a "certain age" (41 to be exact) where my eye doc says
I will need reading glasses in addition to the glasses I use for distance
with my astigmatism. So...I am trying to bead and find that if I hold my
hands out far enough to see the bead I can't see the hole to string it!...

Figuring seed bead prices? by
Valerie2
I've been trying to figure this out, but have absolutely no clue as to
how to go about it. How do you figure the price for each seed bead? I
bought some yesterday and on the pack, it says 3/4 of an oz, but have no
idea how to use that to figure out the price for each one.

AD: Aqua Lace by
Susan B.
Given the number of hours I'm spending in my studio, there are not many
sets making their way to da Bay - I'm finishing some custom orders, and
making some seriously eye-catching fauxpal pieces to wear when I teach
at Red Deer next week - a 5 day beginners beadmaking class, with an
optional jewelry...

Setting myself free... ! by

I have an announcement to make. It's not a huge announcement, and it's
one that I've seen many other lampworkers make, so I'm not a
groundbreaker here... but... here goes...
I am taking a break from custom work! Yes, I decided that I miss being
free to make what I want, so I'm turning around the...

Sharing the bead love by
Karen Ramel
Only today did it occur to me to take photos of all of my bead wanderings to
date. Once you pile them up they seem quite inferior when I consider how
long I've tinkered/collected and put together this or that. I suppose I was
more of a bead hoarder, compared to someone who created massive items. I...

"Coral" necklace finally finished by
Linda2
I finally finished the "coral" necklace from the Coraling Techniques book.
http://home.gate.net/~tabbysgal/coral.jpg
The scan is horrible, it's coral-colored (salmon) not pink, but at least you
can see the finished project.
And for those interested, I have some photos up from my trip to...

AD: New DesertDreamer Bicone Bead Bounty by
Karen_AZ
I've been obsessing over bicones and don't know why. I TRIED several times
to make round beads over the weekend, but somehow the glass kept going and
going and going til I had bicones or tubes. Sometimes it just works out that
way.
