I'm back!!! by
n
Hi, everyone! My pc crashed Fri night. I've been in withdrawal FOREVER! It's
so good to be back. Is it my faulty memory, or has there been a rash of pc
failures on this group lately?

KARoloff
Hi Everyone,
I just have to say that this is a great bunch of people, and I'm glad I stopped
lurking.
I am looking for a pattern for an antique shawl (c. 1899), that was crocheted
in a circle. Not lace; above-elbow-length, shell-stitch pattern. TIA

I feel better now... by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
....actually much better. I have tried not to laugh too
much...you see, if I laugh from the bottom of my heart, I
may run out of air. Sounds bad and feels even worse. So I
try to hold the laugh down. But there is books I can not
help with...I mean in those books...there are places I must
laugh for....

Workbasket magazine by
spampot
I just spent a week with my mother, and she had found a box of
"Workbasket" magazines that her mother had saved -- some from the 1940s,
some from the 60s, and a few from 1985. I love looking not only at
the knitting, crocheting and tatting patterns, but at the ads for dress
patterns, the...

Most pitiful UFO by

OK, Do I win? The fitted Nordic sweater that I knit for my mother when I was in
college, (from Nomi's Knits), 20 years ago when I was in college, and she
weighed 35 lbs. less - I still have to sew the front binding, sew the
buttonholes and the buttons on it. Then again, maybe I'll just frog it...
