Kay Montclare & Museum Masterpieces Pattern Books by
bree
Kay Montclare, who sold charts of antique samplers from museums, died
a few years ago. Reports on the web indicate that her grandson sold
all her books to a used bookseller who sold them; thus there is
nothing left.
I have several of her charts, but was intending to buy more. Since
they are now...

Quilt Pattern Help!! by
Angbug
My mother is looking for what she calls a "Holly Hobby" quilt pattern. It's
a Simplicity pattern, but it has a little girl and boy sitting back to back
on a Rocking Horse. The pattern was made in 1974 and she made it for me when
she was pregnant with me. Now, 28 years later she wants to make 2 for...

Looking for finished models of FanXstitch or PhoeniX Stitchery designs by
Fanxstitch
Hi,
I'm looking for finished models of either FanXstitch or PhoeniX
Stitchery designs that may have been done over the years either for
yourself or as models for PhoeniX Stitchery (I sent out a lot of model
packages but never got anything back) or for Nathalie Designs in the
UK. If anyone has...

walmart nylon by

wal has a new line of packs and travel bags that are made of a
"ballistic" nylon but ballistic nylon is expensive and wal's new bags
are not.
Is the chinese "ballistic" nylon ballistic in quality and form or is
it anoter fabric entirely that appears as ballistic?

a stitching dilemma by
[email protected]
My cousin and his wife are expecting their first baby in November.
My mother asked me today if I was going to stitch something for the
baby (this cousin is her godson). I told her I was going to crochet a
baby afghan, like I did for my cousin's older sister's twin sons 8
years ago. My mother...

DJV Designs by
Marianne Teubner
I was searching through a closet today and found a floss storage system kit
I bought years ago at one of the cross stitch festivals.
It is called File-A-Floss and is by DJV Designs. The website on their
literature www.djvdesigns.com doesn't work. I am wondering if anyone here
knows of this company...

Equivalent Floss to Perle by
Lucille
Question for the group that knows it all,
I have a pattern that calls for a very small amount of #12 Perle Cotton.
I really don't want to buy a full ball of this particular color and wondered
how many strands of 6 strand DMC floss, or whatever, I could substitute.

Golden Kite patterns by
Jinx Minx
Has anyone ordered patterns from Golden Kite before? They do a lot of
classic art reproductions that are downloadable in PDF. There's a pattern I
absolutely MUST have, but their price is $43. I don't want to outlay that
much cash if their quality isn't that good. I haven't seen this...

Okie dokie. There is something I've started to notice (though if it's
been discussed, I apologize): There seems to be a growing number of
people willing to buy and stitch charts that are large (300+ x 300+) and
complicated, with lots...

To Sue Dawson/ Arts & Crafts Era Threads by

Hello:
If Sue Dawson is still on this list, I would love for her to post an
answer to a question I have about the types of threads used in linens
during the "arts & Crafts Era" (early 1900s). I did a search of the
archives and found posts from several years ago in which she said that
she was...
