Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words they become
actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits,
they become character. Watch your character it becomes your destiny.

OT Curvemaster foot by
[email protected]
Anyone have one? If you do, which piece of Drunkards Path goes on
top...the "pie" or the "crust?" I always put the larger piece on top
when easing a curve the conventional way. TIA Nancycog in MD

Another prayer quilt by
Kim E
Some of you may remember that my church started a new ministry called
Prayers & Squares. Information about the organization can be found at
www.prayerquilt.org. Quilts are made for a person needing comfort.
Ties are put in, but are not tied. People say a prayer for the
recipient and tie a knot. ...

OT several short jokes by
LN \(remove NOSPAM\)
I was in the express lane at the store quietly fuming. Completely ignoring
the sign, the woman ahead of me had slipped into the check-out line pushing
a cart piled high with groceries. Imagine my delight when the cashier
beckoned the woman to come forward looked into the cart and asked sweetly,
"So...

Quilting week report by
Julia in MN
Yesterday I finished the machine quilting on a king/queen size log cabin
quilt, and today I put the binding on. I made the top a few years ago,
and it has been sitting here waiting to be quilted. I did a stitch in
the ditch between the blocks using my walking foot. Then I did free
motion SITD...

need pattern for knitted vest for one year old by
DrQuilter
any knitter has a nice pattern for a vest that might fit a slender 11
month old? DH bought this beautiful hand dyed yarn but I don't think it
is enough for a sweater for Sofia. I'll attempt a vest first, otherwise
it will be a hat and scarf or something of the kind...

want your opionion -- not OT by
A&T
I am working on my first baby quilt that needs to be finished by Feb. 26.
(something I thought I would never make!!)
I have almost finished the top, but I can't decide whether to use the blue
or pink inner border. Just in case you are interested --- the keyboard
border will be finished out with 9...

Disappointed in Road to CA . . . . by
WHOLEYLADY
. . . and crashing my car had nothing to do with it! I thought there were
too few quilts and too many vendors. I would have paid more to see more quilts.
This year's quilts seemed, to me at least, to be heavier on the art quilts and
lighter on the traditional. Your thoughts?

OT - Nikki's quilt by
Johanna Gibson
I delivered Nikki's quilt and matching cushion tonight - she was
very happy with it, and put it on the bed straight away. We filled
the pockets of the jeans in the quilt with her bean bag animals... and
I took photos. That was the end of the roll, so I'll get them
developed tomorrow!
She said her...

OT - looks like we're leaving again by
Queen of Squishies
Remember that drain problem I was having while Bob was in the hospital?
Well, it got worse. We can run any water at all. No dishes, no toilets, no
showers. Of course Bob only has the use of one arm and can't fix anything
right now. Can't pay a plumber Saturday wages. So-o-o-o......... it...

Fudge... by
Kate Dicey
We like fudge, don't we?
Possibly not all of us like it quite as much as chocolate...
However, in this instance, fudge is what we need, and chocolate will
have to wait until later...
Remember before Christmas that I got yelled at by a Fat Quarter book
quilt that wanted to be made? Well, I did...

Quilting day week 2 by
maryd
I finished the binding on DD#2's quilt.
http://community.webshots.com/photo/113209455/257016022RoNiKb
I also got a lot of organizing done in my sewing room. One of these days I
might get it set up to where I can actually sew in there. With everything
sorted I can really see that I need to reduce...

Question re joining quilt as you go blocks by
smudge in oz
I've dipped in and out of this group over the past three or four years
(mostly lurking). Delighted to see so many familiar names each time -
love the roll call. Need to find a few hours to read through it all!!
I would like to quilt blocks separately (so a hand quilting project is
more portable)...
