Coil Bowl Step By Step by Liz & Allan MacDonald
Good afternoon all, I've put a series of pictures up on webshots showing step by step the process of making a coil bowl. They're carefully hidden in the album titled Coil Bowl How-To. I just finished loading them, so give it a few minutes. Liz (Bwahahaha - you'll all be addicted....) ...

So how to you tell? by Marcella Peek
Ok, again we have the fabric quality question and over and over I see posts that say "you can get good fabric anywhere you just need to know good fabric" Well sheesh, if the person asking knew how to tell quality fabric they likely wouldn't have to ask. So... How Do You Tell It's Quality...

Well just got back from the meeting. What lovely quilts! There were 27 people who participated. I didn't win anything....and I am so alright with that. :) I was just terribly glad to be included. I did receive many compliments. There were four categories. WOW!, Viewer's Choice, Best Use of Color,...

So DH will be in the States in April for one week and I'd like him to bring me some magazines :-) Which one can you recommend ? Hubby amazed me. by Nocturnal
My hubby is NEVER interested in what I sew. To him "It is all money being spent" I have finally finished my first Foundation pieced "top" got to quilt it yet and I laid it out on the spare bed so I could just look at it to get some ideas on how to quilt. Last night when hubby came home from work he...

Dallas quilt Show review by Bob & Kathleen
I was really impressed with the show. It is the first time for DH and I to go to that particular show. We were exhausted after leaving. Saw great quilts, many that I admired, some more than others. The Best of Show was truly magnificent. Hand-dyed fabric, hand appliqued and hand quilted. DH carried...

found quilt blocks by Iowan1999
Just a funny story. I finally cleaned my craft room and found 23 pink log cabin blocks that i had made and I don't even remember piecing them. I know I did them, because there is a paper with notes in my handwriting. Could I be quilting in my sleep? Everyone have a great quilting day.

Hello to all! My name is Joan, I live in Peachtree City, GA for the last 3+ years. Before that we were in Vancouver, WA and loved it. I miss my Clark County Quilters guild something terrible. I seem to collect more fabric these days compared to time spent quilting but now that DH is back on day...

I'm heading to work and then DBF and I are off to New Orleans for a week in the morning. Stash will be guarded by 3 feline QIs, one of whom likes hamburger, one a bite or too of fish, and one who likes cream. And I'd appreciate it if you stash raiders would at least finish quilting the monster in...

UPDATE - Crestfallen No Longer!!! by Melissa in NJ
Well I have an update. All day long I was feeling lower than blue. My DH was mad. I was feeling resigned. But I just couldn't get past it and asked my husband to read the rules objectively. I had been trying to all night. He said that at best that they were ambiguous. He could see why I had...

Sizing v. Starch by joan8904 in Bellevue Nebraska
I have cans of both and have discovered that I really like the sizing when working with bias cuts in blocks. What is the difference between the two? I seem to remember someone on Simply Quilts saying that you should use starch, as sizing just doesn't work. Or maybe it was the other way...
