Shirley's HUG update by
Dreamweaver
Well, the blocks are coming in and both Shirley and her daughter Linda are
thrilled! Linda can't wait to come see her mom now to see what arrived in
the mail! You all are great. It has truly cheered both of them.
Please keep the blocks coming. I saw a few and they are gorgeous!

HUG request for one of our own by
Dreamweaver
She doesn't post or read but she's one of our own. She helped put together
our beloved, bedazzling, bewitching Butterfly's HUG. Ask our beloved,
be-feared, Red Queen, Judy Grevenites about this sweet lady. We were quite
a team that weekend! Here's a picture (Butterfly's HUG) and what part...

MQ feathers - tips please by
M Rimmer
I've decided to have a crack at machine quilting feathers - I've got a
round robin quilt which has a central medallion, some big blank areas,
and some appliquéd swags, so I thought I'd surround the medallion with a
feathered wreath, put some feathered motifs (perhaps hearts) in the
blanks, fill...

Mother's Day Gifts by
Cindy Schmidt
DH got me two huge hanging baskets for outside.
DS #1 is bringing me something home from Europe.
DS#2 bought me a dvd/vcr player for my work area.
DD made me a bouquet of fabric flowers.
Plus I got to spend the day at the Cardinals game where they kicked some
major butt that day.

OT - eBay selling by
frood
I'm getting ready to list one of my sewing machines on eBay, and I'm trying
to decide if it's better to have the auction START on a weekend, or END on a
weekend. Starting on a weekend offers more potential buyers right up front,
but ending would have more potential for last minute bidding wars....

Hi All,
Just wanted to let you know that I may be silent for awhile - my DH received
a triple bypass yesterday and I'm spending quite a bit of my time at the
hospital. This came out of nowhere but he's doing fantastic.
I'll be sitting an stitching at his bedside - please send good...

Help by
Dr. Deb
My wife is new to quilting, but enjoying it a great deal. Last night she
said she would love to get a book on the "hows," material and quilting in
general.
What would be a good book to get for her?
Thanks
Deb

OT... chocolate by
Linda Sweigart
I've been noticing that many of the new members of this board get asked
their chocolate preferences. Hmmm... I love the stuff but I very seldom eat
candy. However... Gevalia's chocolate-raspberry coffee is to die for. ;-)

Evil Sunbonnet Sue is not Sue watering the flowers or standing alone
contemplating the wonders of the Universe. Evil Sue is doing something
of which her mother ought not be proud. For ideas of what people have
done in the past, please check out this site (which may or may not have

Question on home long-arm machines. by
Carolyn McCarty
I've made up my mind to buy a long-arm setup before the year is out.
However, choosing the best one for my situation is difficult, they all have
their good points. If any of you have purchased a long-arm, please drop me
a line with any pros and cons of that particular machine, the price of...

black rose by
SNIGDIBBLY
I just finished quilting my Fruit & Roses WH and it has wavy edges. This is
the first time I have used warm & natural in a WH. I used straight grain
binding and everything was square & perfect until I washed it. Now it's all
wavy. I am going to try dampening it and blocking it in hopes of...
