Nearly finished and a finish by
Cheryl Isaak
Well, I finished the stitching on the Ewe and I Tulip I was stitching. I've
trimmed a piece of mat board and wrapped it batting. After DD's eye exam,
I'll do the finishing and take a few pictures.
Also, while I was cleaning out the closet, I found a basket, minus the
handle. It's a nice depth but...

Skilled XS vs. Not-So-Skilled XS by
Tia Mary
Hi Guys,
So, I posted in another thread that -- IMNSHO -- the **mechanics**
of stitching plain, unadorned XS (no special fibers, no beads, no fancy
stuff) doesn't really take a lot of skill. I'm talking the whole "lower
left to upper right and then lower right to upper left" part of XS. ...

How Much Stash is too much by
[email protected]
I confess I am a stash-a-holic, and the wonderful resource of the
internet and eBay is fueling my addiction.
I have kits, charts, fabric and threads that would take me several
lifetimes to get through, but I see a CA Wells kit and I haunt the
auctions until the end, in the hope that I will further...

delurking with photos and Reynauds by
TomsonLF
Hello to one and all. I have been lurking for many years and finally
decided it was time to join the conversation. I have been stitching for 30
years and am still a novice. My first project was a kit and it only took one
to decide doing someone else's designs was not for me. My current project...

Framing quest by
anne
My EGA chapter brought Laura Smith, a master craftsman in color design,
here for a class. We worked on Lighthouse Moon
http://stitch4fun.com/Class-Lighthouse%20Moon.htm designed to teach us
about color contrast and values. Intellectually, I got what she was
saying. However, using the threads...

BooHoo ACMoore by
Lucille[_3_]
We were just informed that the new A.C.Moore store that we've been looking
forward to in our area is NOT opening. Apparently they are in some
financial difficulty (who isn't) and they're closing another store in south
Florida and not opening the St. Lucie West location at this time.
That...

Birth Sampler Ideas Needed by
Jinx the Minx
Ok, so considering the fact that I'm giving birth in 12 hours (planned
C-section), I'm about 9 months late deciding on a birth sampler
pattern for my baby girl! I've looked around a little bit, but
everything I've found is just so.....nauseatingly cutesy. So, I guess
I'm looking for ideas or ways...

Stitchalong Group by
Karen C - California
I'm now working on MLI's Christmas Visit.

The top half moves along quickly, but the bottom half is wall-to-wall
grey skirt, so I figure I'll need some encouragement.

Now what do I do? by
Cheryl Isaak
I am continuing my vow to finish a bunch of old WIPS.
Ok - current project is an outline of a flower with stem and leaves. On dark
raspberry colored fabric. It was kit bought at Celebrations or in some
going out of business sale.
All the stitching is one strand of floss over two threads of...

Show of hands by

How many of you sign and date your work? If yes, do you use your full
name, initials, or ?
Do you keep a stitching journal?
I'll go first -- I usually don't sign my work, mostly because I haven't
hit on a way to attractively and quickly do small letters. For the
grandbaby stitcheries, I made...

Updated and new tutorials by
alicia in Hawaii
Hi,
I received several emails about the crayon washing off fabric (namely
acrylic felt) after the tinting process.
I decided to experiment with it and document it along the way for a
tutorial.
If you go to :
http://curiosities808.wordpress.com/tutorials/
You will be on my "new" Tutorial page that...
