suggestions needed for mending by
Deb in AR
Seeing Kay's above post about mending her DGS's quilt got me thinking about
a comforter I put together several years ago. It's just your basic 9-patch
made of scraps in pinks with solid bright pink squares and borders to bring
it together. I tied it instead of quilting as it was just for me to...

Dye Magnet...all gone! by
Lynne Van
After a very frustrating 20 minutes of the usual lousy telephone
customer service, I was finally able to get through to a real live
person who informed me (ever so nicely) that the reason that I can't
find Dye Magnets anymore is that the company discontinued them a year
ago.
I said he'd have...

Quilts for animals? by
Paul & Suzie Beckwith
I know this has been asked before, and on a regular basis, but can
someone point me in the direction of Jills website/email, the lady who
makes quiltlets for animals in shelter?
Got a load of fabric that she may be able to use...

Well, I've been sewing. (what else) Not much quilting, but bunches of other
things. New "house pants" DH (who is doing fine, thanks for all the
prayers, good thoughts & warm wishes), Easter "princess" dresses for a
couple of the grandaughters, and I'm fixin' to start on one for me!! Imagine
that....

Kay mending her DGS quilt by
The Laws
Well, this has turned out to be a major project.! I think I have mended
close to 2 dozen holes. A lot of them turned out to be in the red bandana
material, a very busy print that mending completely disappears even if I
don't match the fabric perfectly The places on the denim turned out to...

Newbie saying hello by
Durga Marino
I just signed up for this newsgroup and wanted to say hello. Have been
quilting only about 6 months and have done mostly crazy quilt squares, free
form quilting, and landscape quilting. I took a class at Quilt University
which was really great and am totally addicted to quilting. I signed up...

getting much needed rest from my quilting marathon.
The baby and the quilt are not yet done :).

funny from Wink by
Taria
Dear Tech Support:
Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a
distinct slowdown in the overall performance, particularly in the flower and
jewelry applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0. In
addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable...

Welcome to my Garden kit - Help by
JS
Hi, everyone.
I have a little problem - DM made the blocks for the top of this quilt from
Jo-ann's, and gave it to me to finish last year. She gave me the pieced top
and the setting kit. I have misplaced the instructions, and after many
hours of searching and digging, I am asking for help. Does...

benefits of having new baby by
Dr. Quilter
extra benefits, I mean. DH claims I sleep like a log in the evenings and
after feeding her, and he takes care of her and does chores. he might be
hallucinating for all I know, because I am really dead to the world. so
when I get up at 7 with Sofia, he wants to stay in bed claiming he was
up and...

Just wanted to give praise for really good customer service. I needed
some veggie fabric for my Mom's Garden of Edith quilt and I found a
fat quarter collection at Ginger's. Problem was that I needed to know
exactly what was going to be in the packets which are subject to
fabric availability.
I...

Martha show pulled by

I worked at home today and had the TV on. I thought I would keep it on for
background noise, you know. Well, they pulled Martha's show. I wish I was
in the meeting where they decided what show to use to replace hers.
Know what they picked, at least on my TV? - All in the Family! ...

Addiction and quilting by
Marcella Tracy Peek
I know there have been jokes before about being "addicted to quilting"
but this was too much....
Someone nicely posted a 50% off coupon for JoAnns last week. I printed
it out and today I went shopping. I was out of basting spray and EEK
had to resort to pin basting a little quilt as I didn't...

March FQ Exchange - Batiks by
Yvonne Stuchell
Please join quilters in the United States and beyond in a fat quarter
fabric exchange. The theme for March is Batiks. These are dyed by a
special process, often with imprints or salted to enhance the look of
the fabric. Batiks are usually similar in color/print intensity on
both sides of the...
