Guess What?? by
Norma
Well, I got the grandmother clock working. But for some reason it only
chimes 4 times at 5 o'clock. But we're happy with it anyway. I told DH
nothing else works perfectly in this house, so it fits in really well.
BTW, he's thinking about the flight to Mexico. So, things are progressing
slowly on...

Shelagh, a crazy day by

AWWWWWW!
I HATE days like that! Glad you could 'vent' here.
No offense to anyone HERE, but I've found that anybody who works in the
'service' professions who are under 25 need some serious orientation.
Whatever happened to: "the customer is always right?"
Hugs,
Noreen

The joys of rural life by
NoraBalcer
Shelagh,
Hope the plumber's bill didn't send you into shock. I'm a country girl and
love it, but DH is a city boy and won't ever consider moving where there isn't
public water and sewer.
Hugs,
Nora

A "Q" for knitters who like wooden needles by
Noreen's Knit*che
I've just stumbled across an interchangeable system from Plymouth
Yarns, called the "Bamboo Sister", and wondered if any of our elite
have it, and what they think of it.
It's pricey, but wondering if the cost is worth it.
Do they STAY screwed together?
Thanks in advance,
Noreen

Guess What??? by
Norma
For several years now I have been slowly saving my money to buy DH a
Grandmother clock (a grandfather is too big for our house), for our tenth
anniversary. He loves clocks and has always wanted one of those. Fri night
our town had a midnight madness sale. We found a clock, that was made be a
local...

Online Yarn Sale -- Suggestions? by
Allaya Diep
Hi everybody!
I got an email from Smiley's that informed me of a special they were running
on Lion Brand Homespun yarn...only $1.99 a skein! I thought I'd make an
afghan out of it. Do any of you have any suggestions as to what pattern I
should use?
The yarn is very curly and would not do well...

I made an experiment. And it worked. The mount of stitches
came out right. So I think the psso thing is the right for
Inka's sweater. Have not started yet, but it is in plans.
Have knitted squares lately. So thanks once more ladies...I

Looking for a Leisure Arts book by

Well, after Carol in SC gave me the information on the Leisure Arts book #2515
I called the company and found out it was discontinued in Feb. 02 so no luck
there. If anyone has it and wants to part with it, let me know and I'll gladly
pay you for it, plus the shipping costs. I never go on ebay so...

I was hoping that there is an error in the pattern on pg 22, Carol Adams,
however I can't find the errata page for this book. Now I'm just hoping
that someone can point out what I'm missing.
The cables aren't coming out right. Both sides...

Berlin wool? by
Katherine Burgess
What is the gauge of your Berlin wool? As for the pins, I would think that
they are British (non-metric) sizes, and yarnforward has a conversion table
on their site.
HTH
I can't help with the fleeces, but I am sure that someone here will do so.
