Best of Show by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Heck. It's easy to win Best of Show when you are the only entry. Back in
September, I told you that I'd made my first/maybe last wallhanging
celebrating my new eyes. We left it at the dr's office and never heard a
word. No phone call. No thank you note. Nothing.
Today, I was sitting in the...

Daytona Beach, Florida in January, and then driving up to to Suwanee,
(North Atlanta). Though not a quilter she is well trained in Quilt
Fabric buying. Does anyone have any recommendations as to where she
should undertake...

So, where do we go from WebShots? by
Leslie & The Furbabies in MO.
It seems there are quite a few of us with a large, disorganized zip file from WebShots (OMG- I had accidentally mis-typed the 'o' in WebShots as an 'i'- rather appropriate right now??? ROFLOL) and we are needing a new *freebie* place to show off the photos of our quilty...

OT just a smile for you by
Polly Esther[_5_]
Our friend Henry is babysitting a parrot for a co-worker who is having some
house remodeling done. Henry lives alone and his home is usually very quiet.
Yesterday afternoon Henry was enjoying his traditional Sunday nap only to
be awakened by the annoying noise of a grown man snoring.

OT - donuts by
Di Maloney[_3_]
Well I made just six donuts, they were great and only lasted 10 minutes - DH
thinks they are yummy and so do I.
I am going to make three dozen small ones for my DD's Halloween party next
Saturday night.
Rich chocolate with bright red icing dribbled on top.
Thanks to everyone who helped me.

Cracked and bought fabric! by
Jo Gibson[_3_]
I've been really good (or broke) and haven't bought fabric for 4 months.
But I succumbed today to some toast-coloured minkee. It should help
Mrs Claus make some ice cream cones, pizzas, toast and well, who knows?
Let the minkee fur fly! (I also ordered 1/2 meteres of mint green,
baby pink...

Satin stitch tapering by
Hanne in DK
Totally technical question, arising because I have spent today doing
applique for a baby item and decided to take the opportunity to learn to
do tapering of satin stitched to make my corners look better.
I must be insane!
I'm tapering by hand, as the points are mostly not 90 degrees.
Got...

My post about "no posts" generated responses from many of you. Glad to
see I am not alone. October is the month when I give away the charity
quilts made throughout the year. The problem is much of September must
be spent binding the quilts. I love to piece tops. Quilting is done by
someone else on...
