OT - what a day by
Cheryl Isaak
After spending nearly all day out of the house yesterday, I did a marathon
day around the house. The living room is nearly all rearranged for the sofa
and such we are ordering soon (I hope). Sorted toys, trashed broken ones,
did laundry (16 trips to the basement for laundry and other things)...

Hurricane Charley by
Fred
Passing on my thoughts and prayers to all our stitching friends in Florida.
Here is hoping that they all are safe and their property didn't get too
badly damaged.

Firehouse: Over One by
Felice Friese
Since I'm not volunteering for any of the over-one stitching, I feel I can
make an impartial suggestion. I think that anyone who wants to join Victoria
in doing this should be completely confident in her ability to do it well. I
did some of the early over-two stitching on the Angel and although...

Another parakeet and a question by
Pat EAXStitch
My daughter lost her parakeet last week - it had managed to open it`s cage
while they were out and shot past them when they opened the front door in
the evening. They could hear it calling from the top of a tall tree for a
couple of days - but nothing since. It`s a real shame - they...

Hi everyone!
I have achieved something. I have finished 2 projects. First one has a name
"A Single Rose". I know I have done the other project with the same name
before this.
And this newer one is called "A Lighthouse". I am so happy that I have
finished them both. *doing the happy dance and...

In search of Tristan Brooks Elizabethan Scissor Fob Pattern by
Caroline
Does anyone have a copy of the Elizabethan Scissor fob freebie from
Tristan Brooks from the beginning of the year that they can email me?
I wanted to make it as a gift and it's no longer listed on site. I
emailed them, but got no response. I'd be eternally grateful if
someone could email the...

Photo to color-rich cross-stitch pattern - possible? by
[ B@CHFiRE ]
Hey cross-stitchers,
I'm using the program PC-Stitch to try and make a cross-stitch pattern from
a picture, that I can sew by hand. The program says, that you can max set
the DMC colors to 200. Is that all DMC have? Any other fabric manufactures,
that has more? Maybe it's more than enough, I don't...

Hubby Enables S.E.X.!!! by
Caryn
It only took me 20 yrs, but I think I have finally trained Dude a little bit!
Yesterday we were standing in the check-out line at the grocery store, and he
plucks the BH&G Xmas Xstitch magazine off the rack and hands it to me.
My jaw just dropped!
Dude has never, ever done anything to encourage...

August report, September goals by
Siptah
August goals we
1) celebrate my parents' 40th anniversary -- happily done, 8/7-8/8
2) learn my digitizing software and digitize at least one design. -- DONE,
although the design still needs a little "tweeking" and probably wasn't a
best choice for a first try...
3) 10 hours stitching -- I think...

Claire
I am in need of a site where a cross stitch graph is already setup for
designing a chart. Then all I have to do is print it. If anyone has
the URL, please post.
Thanks Claire

It can't be my fault-- by

so it must be that imp that has been following me around since I've
been reading this group. Our wandering home is now halted temporarily
at Wright-Pattman AFB near Dayton Ohio. We spent part of the day
wandering the museum near the Wright Brothers practice field. After
they got the motor on the...

New to this site! by
muffin
Oh, I think I've died and gone to heaven...I can see hours slipping
away, but I need to get back to stitching!
I read about this site in the mystery books by Monica Ferris. At
least I think this is the same group.
I am a fairly new stitcher, and am looking forward to more hints, like
those found...

Happy Dance (hopefully not premature!) and seriously dumb question by
Susan Hartman/Dirty Linen
Someone came up to me at church the other day and said,
"Congratulations!" and I said, "For what?" and she said, "Your sampler
had the blue ribbon at the MD State Fair. At least I *think* it did!"
Well, I've been waiting til I knew for sure to say anything (I have
plans to go next Friday) but my...
