Opinions on Embroidery Machines by
quietreef
I'd like to hear from the experts here on what they like or don't like
about their embroidery machines. I'm considering a TOTL embroidery
machine. I don't care about any other sewing features other than
embroidery because I have a good sewing machine and serger.
I'm interested in the quality of...

Sewing room comment... by
Kate Dicey
DH needed to buy some white undercoat and gloss for the new conservatory
roof beams, so we went to the DIY emporium... James was totting up in
his head all the rooms we need to paint or have painted recently, as I
was picking up paint cards. At the checkout he said: Are we going to
repaint the...

Way OT - 3 Cheers for DD1 by
Sharon Harper
We went back across to Bairnsdale this weekend as DD1 wanted to have her
first "Midget" (7-11 year old) go-kart race. Remember she's only had this
thing since August and hasn't practised a whole heap. In her class there
was an 8yo girl who raced for the first time last week but has...

quilt frame question by
[email protected]
OK, so I'm new to all this, and will probably ask a zillion questions
that all you mega-experienced seasoned quilters have answered at least
twenty times, but here goes.
I do mainly machine quilting, using an ancient, 35-year old Husqvarna
that I "stole" from my mother who is severely...

Recommending the Elmo book by
Polly Esther
Quilting with the Muppets is a book I've been hoping to get to for a long
time. Today I did the Elmo block and he looks so precious I just have to
tell you about it.
The book is well written and quite charming to read.
The Elmo block took me about 5 hours - these guys (and Miss Piggy)
aren't fast...

I had to go in for a stress test last night since I wasn't feeling baby move all day. Also was having back pain all day. They hooked me up and I was told if they didn't get significant movement they were going to induce. His heart rate was fine and so was his breathing but apparently he doesn't...

OT DH Health stuff by
NightMist
DH had his surgery.
He came through fine.
The tear was actually a little smaller than they thought.
The only excitment was he went a little bonkers when he was coming out
of the anesthesia. They had to call a bunch of orderlys, he gave one
of them a bloody nose. The doctor was worried because...

Home from trip; RCTQ meetups... by
Bronnie
Home from our 5 week trip to England, Scotland and Ireland. This is
probably old news, as you have heard from Jo in Scotland, Pat on the
Hill and Megwen in Bath, however I wanted to say how much we enjoyed
meeting up in September.
It was such a thrill to first meet up with Jo. What a friendly gal;...
