OT Tornado in FL by
Bobbie Sews More
I just got a message from a neighbor in Florida that a tornado touched down
in Eustis and 50 homes were destroyed or damaged. I am still in SC, but our
Winter home in Eustis seems to be OK.

Ideas for a hug quilt that will be quick to piece and finish? by
- dlm.
Hello,
As some of you know, I am the "Queen of Procrastination," aka the "Empress
of UFOs." I need some ideas for a lap size hug quilt. I need something
that will be easy to piece and quilt. However, since I'm not particularly
good at MQing unless the block size is relatively small, I will...

Singer steamer presser machine -- about 2 feet long by
gwen
Does anyone know about this machine? I saw it at my DIL's, and she
said she used it when the kids were little, to press their pants.
Said I'm welcome to it. Is it good for tabletop use, to press those
1/4 inch seams when making blocks?

Who would have known? by
Alice
A group of five quilting friends got together over the summer to make some
charity baby quilts. One lady is brand new to quilting, so we thought this
was an easy project and would help her learn some basics. Also, it is a
requirement of our Guild to submit at least one quilt a year for...

OTOTOT Canine Behavior by
teleflora
I've always had normal pets. I've had dogs all my life and I've adored
them, but they've always acted like, well, dogs.
I now have 2 Jack Russell Terriers. These dogs don't act like any dogs I've
ever seen.
They are 3 years old. Not sibs, but we only had Maggie about a month longer
than we've...

Hopefully I won't ramble too long here. Need to call the Social Security

What's happening in the Cook household? Well, Rick is finding more work,
now to see if it holds and he can get the money coming in regularly in
sufficient quantity. He is...

Block sizes sought by
janice142
Okay, this quilt is gorgeous -- it's by a poster here, or by someone
whose photo album I perused. I tend to save pictures that intrigue me.

So, I was also (like I need more?!) looking through my Keepsake

Hold that line! by
Polly Esther
Brevity isn't my strong suit but I'm going to try. The quilt top I'm
assembling is an 'on point' design. Putting it together is a challenge and
a lot of fun - but - I just realized that all of the outside block edges
must be trimmed on the diagonal after it is assembled.
That is going...

Rowenta rant........ It's not your trusty old Rowenta anymore by
Val
Rowenta isn't "Rowenta" anymore, nor has it been for some time. The French
company (Group SEB) who bought Rowenta started out in 1926 making cheap
stamped out tin cookware. They marketed their first electric appliance in
1962, a coffee maker. In 1967 they invented and marketed the first odorless...

Wonder Wallet by
Boca Jan
I have been reading about this wallet and it seems like everyone is raving
about it. The pattern is 10 years old, but is still a hot item.
Unfortunately you can't download the pattern but have to buy on line which
makes it $8.00 plus postage.
Has anyone made this wallet? Was it easy? Do you use...

Silly boots and a quilt group - on and off topic! Rather long. by
Kate XXXXXX
The fibro is nasty this week, and I am having hand trouble, so sewing is
haaaard! I ended up in A&E for three hours a week and a half ago:
Friday evening in A&E is *NO* joke! Luckily it was early, so the place
wasn't knee deep in police and drunks and the victims of drunk driving
incidents. ...

What are your current quilting projects? by
Pat in Virginia
With school starting, vacations over, relatives gone
back home (hopefully!) ... it is time to rev up the
needles! What about your current project/s?
Right now I am working on the Pink Hug Quilt for my
friend. This is a support for when she has the
mastectomy. Some generous quilters from RCTQ...

De-wrinkling batting by
Lizzy Taylor
For a particular project I have just bought a pre-packaged Hobbs (yes,
Ragmop, I *know* it is made in Texas) Polydown batt. My problem is that
the ends in particular are all creased up from being squished into its
plastic bag. What is the best way to get it to lie flat again? If it
were cotton...
