Which Cross-stitch software? by
David W.
Hi folks,
I'd like to get my wife some cross-stitch software for Christmas, to
create charts from digital photos of the grandkids, dog, etc.
Would appreciate any recommendations.
She gets along with the computer pretty well, if that is helpful.
Thanks,

ANOTHER Ebay spoof!! by

Just received another spoof email asking for my password and bank details.
It looks very realistic but of course Ebay NEVER ASK YOU FOR SUCH DETAILS by
email.
If you get one, forward it to Ebay, not forgetting that they need the full
details which can be cut and pasted by right clicking on the...

Grrrrrr -- That Cat! by
Karen C - California
Looks like I caught it in time.
I have a handheld, pulsating shower head, so I just stuck the scrolls in the
bathtub and turned on the cold water full force. (Remember, the point is to
push the stain back out the way it came, not to push it further into the fabric
and out the other side.)
There...

Photos of needlework for webshots by
Lee
I've been putting some photos of my completed stitching on webshots.
However, I've noticed that the quality of my photos doesn't come close
to the quality of other stitchers' photos.
I'm using a digital camera (AGFA ephoto 780). But my pics tend to
come out dark and lacking in detail.
Would I...

Grrrrrr -- That Cat! by
Karen C - California
Middle of the night, I heard someone hacking up a hairball.
Once the sun came up, I could see that she hadn't done it on the dark green
couch, she aimed it at a piece of my needlework. And it wasn't just a
hairball, it had some lovely dyed-orange cat food in it.
If the stain doesn't come out,...

bright idea for framing by
Beverly B
I wish I were a programer or knew someone who was. I just took a piece in
to get an estimate on framing. It is going to be close to $120. That is
probably the most I have ever spent to frame anything and almost half of
that is in labor for designing the layout to cut the mat. I am...

Kissmoose gift question by
georg
So what I'd really like to do is expand my mum's stitching horizons. I'd
like to go to my LNS and pick out a truly scrumptious kit for my mom who
stitches almost entirely on Aida. I have an idea of her taste, and what
she'd really love to get, but I'm not sure what sort of reception it
would get....

My hands feel like ice but I stitch by
Pirjo Ilvesvuori
Oh yes. The ice is not outside. It is inside. In my joints.
I feel like they would be frozen. I am able to stitch, but I
do it slowly. I do not know if the knitting marathon is to
blame or my rheuma...but anyway. I am able to hold the
needle in my hand so I let the stitching take me.

Another Framing Question - shallow rabbet by
BCMcNamara
I have a Christmas piece that I stitched a few years ago and am finally getting
around to framing. It was a kit and came with a frame. The frame is shaped
like a house with a pointed roof at the top, 2 parallel walls and a floor. The
frame is subdivided into 4 rooms and an attic under the roof. ...

HI! Glad I found my way back here after a long time away.
I am trying to find out if the #stitch group is still in existence on
