My GOSH you women are so sweet! Yes, I did get the e-mail, and yes, kumihimo
sounds fun! I've googled posts about it, and have one set of directions that
were posted here awhile ago, but Els, if you have a different pattern or
something, it would be appreciated.
Kumihimo sounds as if it would be...

Clair,I notice that Stella said the rug is machine knitted - but I thought
it looked like the lovely ones I have seen made from plaited strips of
various fabrics - whichever it is it is really beautiful. Stella does

S.E.X. in Nashville by
Noreen's Knit*che
What a bonanza... went stash shopping and 'just' shopping today...I got
seventeen POUNDS of Caron's one-pound skeins, and then two eight ounce
skeins, so... 18 lbs. of yarn!
Lots of throws, stadium blankets, afghans!
Also, purchased a book I've been coveting, "The Complete Encyclopedia...

Little people doll by
Angelicsong
Sorry Nora, I don't have one but it looks like a rectangle about 6" x 10".
Melody,
I've also printed it out, do you have a picture of the finished doll that
we
can see?
Hugs,

Els, I've just received an email that I 'think' you meant to either reply
to a post, or email someone else off list.
I believe it was meant for Kathy (anti-Kathy), not for me!
Love,

Thanks, Martin, I had missed some of these.
Excellent work, Ladies. Stella, I loved your bear with the colourful belly.
I guess he was crocheted, was he? Gwen, the Ann Hathaway cottage was
marvellous!
Thanks to everyone for sharing.

If I invent a stitch, can I name it? by
Laurie
Actually, I highly doubt I invented it. ;-)
I finished my first knitting project and I LOVED how it turned out. I
was having a really hard time with gauge (I knit SO tight) that I got
some beautiful hand dyed chunky wool from Uraguay to knit a simple
scarf. It has the most beautiful blues,...

Totally OT, "ironic day" by

I found it ironic that the same day 'our' (meaning USA's) "baby girl",
Jessica Lynch finally came home to Palestine, Virginia, Hussein's baby
boys are reported dead.

Regarding scissors on planes by
Noreen's Knit*che
I have a pendant that I wear around my neck for snipping thread and
yarns.
The pendant is 2 inches.
They usually run about $7 to $8, right now Mary Maxim has a special on
them, a set of two for $10.99.

Lovely work, Gwen. My favorite is your "scrap" vest. Did you knit it
top-down, bottom-up, or side to side? It is hard to tell from the picture.

REALLY???? You can dye nylon???? Do tell! What do you
use to dye nylon?
Any dye that will work on protein fibers, usually; i.e., acid dyes. (not
fiber-reactive, those are for cellulose fibers.) Nylon basically reacts like
silk; so if something will dye silk, it should dye...

Cher, I wasn't the one doing the searching - Eleanore was.
Once Eleanore made the accusation that Gem had gone to other groups looking
for money, I decided to look at the groups that Eleanore said that Gemini
was in asking for cash. I found NOTHING.
So lets get this straight -- I DID NOT MAKE THE...

Hi Group!
What comes to mind when 'crochet' is mentioned? Do you think of
crocheting with YARN, or crocheting with THREAD?
Hugs,
