Your "Dream Quilt" - what is it? by Jo Gibson[_3_]
Your "dream quilt" - what pattern is it? Colours? Have you made it? If not yet, why not? Mine is Storm at Sea in shades of dark blue & light blue & white, but I have to finish two quilts I'm making right now, then I want to start it! -- Jo in Scotland

Your "Do-Over" laments....and some questions??? by Carrie Kurtenbach
I am shocked, amazed and amused at that thread! Some of the things you have said you would never do again I was in the middle of doing!! And some of those things I would have done without a second thought as to the after effects of them........ That was a wonderful thread and a great learning tool...

Young'uns by Sunny[_2_]
In the morning I'm going to teach a young woman how to cut fabric for quilts. And probably how to sew. She's never used a sewing machine, thought she was going to cut 'just blocks' for a 6' x 6' quilt for each of her bridesmaids and groomsmen (that would be six, and the wedding in next spring)....

young quilters by Anne Rogers[_3_]
I recently saw an advert for a quilt show/festival, which mentioned a section for quilters under 35. I thought I must remember that, maybe one day I could enter something, but then completely forgot which show it was and where I saw the advert (or maybe it was an article, there was some info...

You're all still here! by [email protected]
I am just peeking in after not reading much (although I have popped in with an occasional question) for the last five years. I am cleaning through my quilt room this week, trying to get rid of some UFO's and organize my fabric stash, etc., and I've been remembering fondly some of the fabric that...

Was in JoAnns a few days ago just looking, wasting time...testing out the new glasses (definite difference, but NO headaches!!) and I saw the most disgusting thing they could ever put in front of a quilter......pre-pieced quilt blocks!! Yep, the entire block put together already, about $5 per...

The fabrics I was waiting for to go into the Dahlia came today, and now that I see them in person Im going to beat you all to it and say.. You Told Me So! (and in the nicest ways possible too!) This quilt needs a gentle infusion of yellow, pink, and possibly lavender. So, out goes the...

You need to know by Polly Esther
The little bottle of Fray-Check that you use to stop things from raveling is nearly clear plastic with blue writing. The little bottle of silicone that you use to make thread behave ( I put almost half a drop on bobbins and let it soak in) is also nearly clear plastic with blue writing. The two...

you know your a quilter.... by Taria
Tonight I learned that you know you are a quilter when you follow the odd blue dog paw prints and find at the end of the trail a dog that has chewed your just opened new wash away pen that you planned using to mark quilting lines. At least it was easy to clean and I don't think she ate much of the...
