ATCs - anybody else? by
MargW
Anybody else doing the EAC's ATC exchange? I worked on three cards this
morning. I used bits of stitching (a kit and a JCS ornament which I
hadn't ever actually finished into an ornament), I had in my stash for
two of them. I'm going to add some more bits to these once I figure what
what I...

Looking for stitching frame cover by
240lenox
Hi Group,
I've seen these on the internet and in mail order catalogs but now that I
want some, doggone I can't find any. These are sewn quilt-like covers that
gather over a needlework frame to protect the extra fabric outside the frame
from soil, etc. I've looked for needlework stitching...

Jane Austen themed samplers by
Dawne Peterson
I ran across one of these on the website of a shop I like, went to the
designer's website, and had to share. All of these are based on Pride and
Prejudice

I have an old chart somewhere that has a quotation from the novel about...

Antiques Roadshow - Silk Painting by
ellice
OK - so I'm doing laundry, playing on the computer (as you can tell) and
watching the tiny TV which is in the office. They just appraised a stunning
piece of embroidery - rather large picture from 1819 entitled "King Solomon
being Visited by the Queen of Sheba" . It was done by...

Knitting. a dumb question. by
Gillian Murray
I have knitted things for years, then have been in a big slump. After
all the talk I had the urge to have needles and yarn in my hand. Sooo I
was in Joannes and found a couple of patterns. One was dishcloths, no
problem the yarn was on sale. I still have to finish the stadium blanket
for...

How many strands? by
anne
I'm about to do my semi-annual xs effort. It's Sunflower Garden Country Quilt
Kit by Cross My Heart which is quite small and done on 14 count fiddler cloth.
I can't seem to find information about how many strands are supposed to be used
and am worried about running out of thread if I use too...

EAC Seminar by
MargW
Another question - anybody here going to the EAC National seminar in
Kingston in the spring? I'm debating since it's as close as National is
ever likely to be to me :)
I'd like to take the Tanya Berlin seminar.

Art Nouveau Cross Stitch by
Dawne Peterson
This book just arrived, author is Barbara Hammet. It has some lovely charts
for anyone who is interested in the period, larger things like Klimt's The
Kiss and some Mucha women among them, and smaller motifs that could be used
in many ways. Nice.

Looking for pattern in this ebay listing by
[email protected]
Hello everyone--
I am looking for a source for the cross stitch pattern shown in the
this ebay listing. I do not want to purchase it from the seller
because I suspect this person is illegally copying charts and selling
them, but I really like this pattern.
It's not showing up on Hoffman, and I've...

New Year's Resolutions: On and Off Topic by
anne
I will not increase my stash of frames as I never have the right one anyway.
I will do a Brazilian embroidery sampler that's been languishing in a drawer
for awhile.
I will set up a bunch of subject specific doodle cloths and label each effort
with name of stitch or process. I'll make a history...

update for Ellice by
Susan Hartman
Ellice -
I lost the sampler topic thread where you asked about progress on the
big project. My, this group has been very chatty lately!
I haven't really resumed it since finishing the big banner, then holiday
stitching. I've spent the last week on another UFO, and only did one
letter on the...

Amethyst Dreams Finish by
Donna
I finished my black/silver/gray version of Laura Perin's Amethyst
Dreams and posted a photo of RCTP.
Linda, if you're reading this, I changed my border. Did not like what
was called for and substituted black Silk Lame Braid from Rainbow
Gallery. It took more than one card. If I had the time, I...
