Wild horses in the U.S. by MelissaD
For some reason I thought there was a question a while back on here about wild horses in the U.S. I found some nice photos and a quick explanation of the government program to take care of them on this website today: http://thepioneerwoman.com/confessions The photos of all the mustangs are...

Geometric shapes online coloring? by lewmew
Does anyone know of an online site where I can draw my own geometric shapes and then color them in? Quilters might - I am looking for something to design my own quilt pattern and want to try a couple of ideas. TIA! Linda

Art Quilt Pics by Rick[_3_]
Hello everyone, I received some pictures of the art quilts that are going to be diplayed at our October festival. I had to share them. Honestly, I wasn't expecting anything this exquisite. My personal favorite is 'Life Entwined'. Here's the link -...

OT -- tea I don't like by Mary
I was given a "sampler" box of various teas in tea bags, most of which are rather nice. Two, however, are just plain nasty-tasting to me. I have tried them both hot and iced, and even would use 1 bag of the icky tea with bags of traditional tea to pull the flavor way back. All seemed really...

Aussie Illustrator by anne
I just got my copy of the latest Inspirations. Sprinkled throughout are illustrations of whimsical, quirky people by Janet Bridgeland. Google didn't turn up anything useful about her work. Can anyone find an online presence for her? -- another anne, add ingers to reply

Can I have a redo on this week by Cheryl Isaak
To recap, instead of doing the "finishing" I wanted to do this week Monday: DS home sick Tuesday: DD home sick Wednesday: snow storm, both home and too crappy to even think of leaving the house Thursday: DH home sick, left anyway. Had to compromise on the Styrofoam for the "soft finish". Could...

Off the topic of stitching, but not off the topic of cats (felines) by Susan Hartman
I'm sure this will spark a mayo-vs-salad dressing type of discussion, but here goes: Is it customary to tip a pet groomer? Do you tip the person who provides occasional services to your pet? (Please chime in quickly; Taz is in for a bath/nail clipping today (Fri) and I didn't think...

Hancock fabrics discontinues DMC floss by Fran
I went into Hancocks today to get a couple of things, including some DMC cotton floss. They no longer carry it! They have the perle cotton, the linen, etc., but not the floss. They've replaced it with at least two differnt brand-X sets purported to 'match DMC colors' . Well, they lost this...

DMC Color variations by lewmew
I thought I remembered seeing something here that said there is a list somewhere that tells you what DMC colors are included in the newer variations (for example, a red might include 321, 304 and 498). Anyone know what I am referring to? Linda

pickeled cacti? by Kalervo Rantanen
Nimittäin sellaisia erikoistapauksia yhä maassamme ON!...
