(Almost) Speechless by
Polly S.
Kalera
Gypsy's Joy just arrived. My hands are shaking a little, holding her.
Gawd I never thought I would get this weird over the *awesome* beauty of
a bead. (pretty damn close to crying)
She is beyond beautiful and far more so than I imagined.

(non-bead) Deals for Beaders by
VManes
FYI
This week Hobby Lobby has Mag-Eyes for $16.44.
An ad in Smithsonian magazine has Bell+Howell "Sunlight Lamp", table or
floor model, for $49.95, plus S&H. They look similar to, and probably put
out light similar to, a three letter brand name that we all know.

(re)introducing myself by
Susan in VA
Hi! I'm glad we decided to add NOT wealthy and NO taste to the
description. g I'm Susan in VA, and I've been lurking here forEVER!
And I've posted a time or two. I used to be a cloth dollmaker, then got
hooked on beads. Then our own Dr. Sooz got me hooked on collage (thru
"altered books"),...

(re)stringing question by
Georgia
Has anyone heard of coated cable *breaking*? I was given a 16" amber
necklace to restring last week which was on 7-strand tigertail, and the
cable was rusted, bent, and broken; the connections to the clasp were
intact. I was going to restring it on silk and knot it, but the holes in the
beads are...

(slightly OT, & icky!) "The Trouble With Cats" or "Hide Your Beads Well" by
Kyla
Soo, my kitty cat, Ami, has always been great when it came to my beading.
She's never stolen off with them to play, I've never found them in the
litterbox, and she loves to help me dig all the Styrofoam peanuts off new
bead orders when they arrive. Little did I know, she was just biding...

)T My eye is spooky by
Christina Peterson
The white of my left eye is red. "Subconjunctival hemorrhage". The web
site I checked out said it can be caused spontaneously from "coughing, heavy
lifting, vomiting"; none of which apply. I don't like it. And have no
insurance.

*******BLIZZARD******* OT by
Tinkster
What a pile o' snow we have here! I hate to say it, but I'm hoping it
prevents us from doing the holiday thing :-) Just imagine: Four days
of peace, stuck in the house, with nothing to do but torch, read, play
with my animals, nap and eat stuff that John cooks...
Anyone else potentially...

**MY** Christmas Necklace by
Beadbimbo
I needed something to wear for a staff luncheon today, so I whipped this up
last night. Nothing like waiting to the last minute, right? I think it
came out really nice, and it looked great against my red mock-t today!

**sigh** the best reason to get a concentrator if you lampwork by
Kandice Seeber
Check out this thread at wetcanvas about an oxygen tank exploding in
someone's car:
http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=139084
Moral of the story:
Do NOT transport an oxy tank in a closed in vehicle. Use a truck, and keep
the tank upright!!
Eeek.

*another* AD: Up All Night Listing Beads... by
Kalera Stratton
How do I get so behind? And WHEN do I make all these beads, anyway? I
sometimes think there's a bead elf in my basement who makes beads when
I'm not looking, because there's NO WAY I had time to make all of these.
I just put a pile... a PILE, I say... of beads up on my website. Holy
cow. I don't...
