QI Inventory?? by
Kate G.
I'm sitting here watching my 6 month old Yellow Lab puppy named Samson DEVOUR a new rawhide bone...
and wondered?
Do you have a QI (or 2 or 3 or 4?)
If so... Dog or Cat (or something else)?
How old is he or she?
What breed?

Your Favorite Block/Blocks? by
~Ann~
I have not been quilting long but through these past couple years of
participating in many BOMs and such, I have come to realize that I am
attracted to certain blocks over the others, and the one that has held
my fondness is the Weathervane. For some reason, this is one that I
would like to...

Whatcha Looking For? by
Diana Curtis
In a few previous posts people have been offering bits of their stashes to
applicants. Im not doing that here. A few people spoke out looking for
specific fabrics, pigs, elephants to name a few, so... I was wondering...
What sort of fabrics is everyone looking for? Do you have a need some bugs,
or...

Ok, I may be opening a Pandora's box with this posting, but I need to know
your preferred format of the Directory for the pending revision
..
The form that you will fill out dumps the data into a spreadsheet format
similar to Excel. I do some tweaking of the information and save it as a...

Not real sure what happened to... by
Karlee In Kansas
this group.
I left this group over a year ago because of all the hate mail, snide
remarks, and general bitchy-ness of the group.
I had been here for the better part of 5 years when I left. I had taken a
year off in there somewhere because of a lack of internet access.
I'm a recipient of a HUG. ...

OT - repost of incredible party invitation by
Queen of Squishies
(I am graciously assuming the best, and that is that you were all too sleepy
to see this within the thread, therefore I am giving you one more (and LAST,
mind you) opportunity to respond. Queens are like that, you know.)

Look Ma! No hands by
Polly Esther[_2_]
Well, fewer fingers anyway. I don't believe I did this. I was doing a
teensy-tiny close stipple around a giraffe's ear and needled right through a
finger. Since the ambulances must come in here via pirogue and nobody comes
in after dark, doing something stupid is simply not acceptable.

Chemo by

Wednesday I begin my chemo. My port is in...it feels odd but will save me
on all the needle pricks.
The day before the chemo I have to get a bone scan...the nuclear kind. I
guess they can tell from hot spots.
I'll keep you posted.
Thank you for all the support. It really has meant more than...

OT no thanks - Long by

If I send you a squishie or thunkie or gator, please don't thank me out here
in front of everybody. I cannot afford to send something to everybody. I
truly can not - as much as I would love to show every one of you how
special I know you are. If I send something anonymously, it's because...

Compact sewing machine suggestion by
Melinda Meahan - take out TRASH to reply
I am trying to figure out what kind of compact-sized sewing machine to
send my daughter at college and thought I would take suggestions here.
I doubt she is going to be doing a lot of sewing over there, but she
does split seams, rip pockets, and tear out hems a lot, and she might
sew a skirt or two...

OT AGGGHHH!!! by
NightMist
I just got an email from my mom saying they are leaving this weekend
to come and visit.
OK, now I need it to be last Saturday.
Maybe I should fry up some chocolate and hide under the covers with a
good book.

Suggestions? by
Sk8eraunt
Most of you know I'm a new quilter. Because of work and other weekend
obligations, it took me seven months to make a simple wall hanging. Here's my
problem. I work with a girl who will be moving back home to Chicago in May.
She has been hinting that it would be really nice if she could have some...

What use is a wall hanging? by
Kate Dicey
This is an anthill question - poke with a sharp stick and see what happens!
Now basic lap and bed quilts make sense: I get cold, I need covering up!
Shared with a cat is even better!
Cushion covers: yup, they make sense!
Throws for furnitu oh, yes! Saves having to make a fitted slip
cover! ...

New VIRUS warning by
Monique Reed
Today I got an e-mail supposedly from Microsoft Tech Support that
contained what was alleged to be a security patch for their system.
What the attachment contained was, in fact, a virus so new that many
antivirus programs don't detect it. My husband, who's the departmental
computer guru, submitted...
