Quick Hardanger question by
[email protected]
Hi everybody! I just wanted to ask a quick question. I'm working on a
small Hardanger doily as a Christmas present, and I'm at the
buttonhole edging (taking a deep breath at the mere thought). I'm
finding the corners a bit tricky, so I've been looking in my books for
tips. A couple of my books say...

Finally! by

Finally, finally! Thanks to Sheena, I got my piece done in a timely manner:

Dang, I'm just so happy I could faint, though I'm feeling quite alone.
My LNS owner, though willing to carry the chart, turned her nose up at
it (as did my mother--but that was...

OT Goodbye Emma by
Dawne Peterson
My dear Emma went to sleep in my arms with the gentle help of our vet at
noon today. She became so tired over the weekend, and it was time. I'll
see her again; she'll be in heaven, or it won't be heaven.

OT we adopted two cats by
Margaret St. John
I am so excited, after loosing our cat to cancer a year ago, the house
has felt empty. We've been looking around at the local shelters, and
found a pair that was perfect. The adoption paperwork came through
yesterday, so we were able to bring them home as part of
my birthday. They are about 8 or...

CCS supplies and International travel by
Audrey[_2_]
In case anyone wants to know, here's what happened with my carry-on
cross stitch supplies when I went to China last month:
I carried on a pair of Fiskar's with 3" blades, and they were accepted
from Chicago to Detroit, Detroit to Tokyo, and then Tokyo to
Beijing. I was assured they would be OK...

new Ukrainian whitework book by
[email protected]
Have recently got myself a copy of a wonderful new book "Gay Eaton's
Ukrainian Whitework". Gay is a New Zealander, who has previously
written a book on Wessex stitchery.
This book presents Ukrainian whitework, including merezhka (and she
spells it the same way as me!! :D )
She's done a great job...

Who stitches outside by
Cheryl Isaak
I can stitch on my porch, or in the car with the windows open, but unless it
is completely windless, I can't just stitch out side.
Does any one here stitch outside?

please forgive me. I have a friend whose grandson will be Bar

him. But she can't find any...

Numb hands - help! by
Joyce in RSA
I'm coming to the place where there's always someone who knows! Since
I've been using a walker quite a lot, and putting all my weight on my
hands, they've become numb, and very difficult to use effectively. Is
there anyone who has had this problem, who can give advice ?
I'm taking vitamin B6,...

Schooling (long) by
Susan Hartman[_2_]
IN the US, preschool is generally privately paid by parents, and can be
any or all of the years ages 2-5. (This is different than daycare, which
is childcare while parents work.) Preschool is most commonly half day,
though sometimes all day (especially as children approach "real school"
age),...

I wonder if anyone knows of any psychology-related charts out there. It's a
long-shot, I know, but I thought I'd take a stab at it. I mean, psychology
isn't exactly a popular subject with most people, is it? But perhaps
there's a Freud chart? Or a "Pink Freud" chart? Weirder things have...
