Need Help Please w/American Sampler by
Paula C. Hunter
Hello,
I was wondering if anyone on the list has stitched the "American Sampler" by
Sandy Orton? I was going to start last year but life got in the way. Now I
am ready but have so many questions.
Does anyone know of a online sample or tutorial of the Queen Stitch?
Is it recommended I "graph"...

Crewel Revival by
FKBABB
According to an article in yesterday's Weekend section of The Wall Street
Journal crewel is enjoying a revival, especially among younger stitchers, and
non-traditional patterns are very big. This was news to me, but the journal
did give a url for a crewel designer website I hadn't seen...

Stitching in Rotation by
Addie
There's been a lot of talk recently about people stitching in rotation.
What does that really mean?? If, as I assume, it means stitching one
project one day and then another the next or something like that, then how
long does it take to complete something??? Are there any tips out there to
make...

Christmas Sampler, Victoria Sampler by
Pat Dumas
Just curious... is anyone else planning to start this chart sometime
soon? I know we were discussing samplers a few weeks ago and thought
perhaps a group all working together might be fun.

Needlework by
Karen C in California
Since we've had the complaint that we're discussing everything BUT
needlework, what *is* everyone doing as we approach the gift-giving
holidays?
I (sigh) don't remember the last time I picked up my XS. I was working
on Sesame Street on Halloween between doorbell-ringers, and I think that
was...

Twelve dollars by

Thanks, but I spent much more than that. I expected nothing, but
since I know you are full of spite (self-proclaimed) I guess it was
your way of getting to me. Didn't work.

Conversion assistance? by
Jenn Liace
Yesterday I purchased a pattern called Needlepoint Rainbow Sampler,
simply because I like the vibrant colors and the different stitches
used. What I didn't notice at the time, though, was the variety of
threads that the pattern calls for. Eeek! Major shopping and storage
required if I don't...

Enabling times too by
Cheryl Isaak
Monday I brought my knitting to my mammogram appointment - I am making DD a
scarf out the "fake fur" yarn. The other women were so busy playing with it,
I took out my purse project and got more oohs and ahhs. Sent them all to
A.C. Moore for the yarn and to the LNS for the cross stitch stuff.
Going...

lining material for a bell pull by
[email protected]
I'm hoping someone can help me with this one.
I stitched a grape pattern from Just Cross stitch - the one in the
August, 2001 issue - that I want to make into a bell pull. I printed
Tia Mary's instructions on making a bell pull. Here's my question: I
need to line this sucker with a material that...

Left-Handed Needlepoint by
Fred
I can't ever remember the term Left Handed Needlepoint. To me needlepoint is
needlepoint no matter if you stitch holding the needle with the left hand or
the right hand. I use either hand and to me a stitch is a stitch.
Now having said that, The other day I came across the term "Reverse...

The embroidery part is pretty straightforward, but does anyone know
how to assemble the whole thing?
TIA,

Needlepoint rug w/o frame? by
Nancy Marino
I'd like to needlepoint a rug that is 40 inches wide and 57 inches long.
The cost of the kit (stenciled canvas, yarns, charts) is almost $600. I
have lots of needlepoint experience, but never anything this large. I
have looked at floor frames to mount this on, but all the ones I can
find cost...
