Latest bridesmaid update! by
Kate Dicey
The second dress stuff went up this evening. More work on this one. I
have tried to let it out a bit, but there wasn't really much to let out
- not as much as was needed, anyway!
Look in Kate's Sewing room, in the left hand column, at the bottom: How
to rescue a bias cut disaster!

Singer Touch and Sew II by
Ron Anderson
None of the cabinet companies are making cabinets to fit the old machines
any longer. The T&S is a special long base so it will not fit in the treadle
cabinet save some handy modifications. I would say look to your local
handyman to repair your old table, modify the treadle or build you a...

Fabric Swatches by
gail
Over the past few years there were companies that would mail out, for a
small charge, fabric swatches so you could purchase fabric from your home.
It seems most of the companies have gone to the more high end type of
fabrics and left out the " Grandma " projects for little girls. Any ideas...

sample garments, and am currently looking for someone to help
(hopefully within a reasonable rate...

I had set in the sleeves perfectly and was busily clipping the curves around the

I can't believe I did that!
*How* could I have done that!?
I cried and cried! DH thought I'd gone mad (I had!)...

Well, I was looking at CheapTrims for the first time and the creative juices
started flowing. I was looking at the feather trim on tapes and got a little
designing brainstorm. Well, maybe not a completely original idea but I'm a
Fashiontrance fan and I've seen some haute designs with feathers and I...

Making cycling shorts without overlocking by

I wear womens' padded cycling shorts for my daily bike ride. Womens' shorts

Please help beginner who's broken her sewing machine by
Pat
First of all you are going to have to get all the "wound around" thread
out-----tweezers and time is all it takes.
Be sure you look everywhere for little pieces....they can jam you up
again..........

My thoughts were the same.
"We thank you from the bottom of our hearts" , but let me take this
unfortunate situation as an opportunity to make money! Wow what an
expression of sorrow.
