Delurking - Knitting article by
seaspray
Hi Everyone,
It is time to delurk and introduce myself. I love to crochet and do cross
stitching. Right now, I am hoping to finish an afghan for my son to give
for Christmas. He is a tall fellow, so it is taking longer than I expected!
My local paper had an interesting article about knitting. ...

magazine news by
Els van Dam
While trying to locate the new magazine on crocheting, I came across the
holiday issue of Vogue Kntting and the Nov/Dec issue of Piecework.
Vogue knitting is full with great knitting ideas and many can be applied
to a 6x6. it is certainly an issue to buy as an early holiday treat.
Piece work...

FO...but not really by
Sew-Sew Lady
Cry with me now...
I finally finished the fuzzy white cardigan tonight. Looked a little
strange. Tried it on the child, it could have been a button-up turtle neck.
I (obviously) did not decrease the shoulder seam stitches often enough and
the sweater is very, very long above the arms. ...

Aud
They went in the post today, Cher.
I have said to Sarah that it is no rush with mine.
She has lots of bothers, as her sister is in hospital.

6x6 received by
Katherine Burgess
Norma,
I got my squares today, and I think I need to visit you, if the postcard
told the truth. g
The squares are lovely - one green with a kind of 3-d effect, and the other
a white with a green metallic thread going through it. Just gorgeous!
Thanks again.
Hugs,
Katherine

I Think someone may have found a close match to the stitch for me!
http://www.nurhanne.com/crochet/stitches3.html
2nd one down, looks close to me, I'm gonna try it later since I just
finished the body of my sisters shawl, all I need to do is fringe it :-) So
I'll test this pattern and see how it...

Just a note to say that I mailed off the November squares last night. Hope

And to confirm that I received two lovely squares from Jenn in Iowa - in

Scarf fringe variations Novelty Yarns by
Lindy
I've been working with some novelty yarns, used a lovely confetti type of yarn
that turned out beautifully. This stuff is sooooo expensive but satisfies my
urge to do something different. I saw a scarf hanging in the yarn shop made
out of ribbon yarn combined with the confetti stuff that had...

Shulamit Umansky
Thank you everyone - you've made me blush here :-)
My craft projects are in a very bad state right now: between the full-time
job and some graduate studies that I manage to squeeze in I have so little
time left. :-(
So I have unfinished afghan (which was actually intended for the previous
winter,...
