Does anyone own a Singer 600E? (Corrected model number) by Susan Laity Price
Someone donated a Singer 600E to the ESL (English as a Second Language) sewing group. The man that is repairing it has trouble with the bobbin. Does anyone own this machine? Could you email me a copy of the manual that talks about the bobbin? I will go to his house later in the day to see if it is...

Orientals by Boca Jan
Does anyone else have an addiction to Oriental fabric? I can't keep my fingers off it, and I have a bunch. My problem is I can't cut into it. I haven't seen a pattern that I think will lend itself to the lovely prints except for panel quilts. Anyone out there like me? -- Boca Jan Florida -...

Quilting question by John
When doing my quilt I used Dritz Washable spray adhesive in lieu of Basting and pining to stabilize the three part sandwitch. What is the preferred method of accomplishing this. Basting/spray adhesive/or combination of those/or some other unknown, to me, method? John

TOTALLY - OTOTOT by Cindy Schmidt
My DH is curious as to how many of you have seen lightening bugs and if the state that you are currently residing in has them? I know this was discussed a couple of years ago ((?????)) maybe but of course I didn't pay too much attention then. So, if anyone would like to respond, email me off list...

Warning about an online store by Jo Gibson[_2_]
I thought potential customers should be warned, particularly international customers. I placed an order on the 19th of June which has still not shown up, and after contacting the owner, it now transpires that the order was shipped to Canada. Now, I've been ordering online for what - 10 years?...

A small finish by Sandy
Carol Doak's online paper piecing group was treated to a BOM over the course of the past year. I finished each block as it came out -- all in 3" squares -- and then couldn't think how to put them together in something a bit different from a 3 x 4 setting. As I was thinking about that last...

OT Katrina personal by Polly Esther
I am so reluctant to tell you this. For sure, I've imposed on you all with my "war correspondent" view. Pass on by if you've heard enough from me. Actually, I've heard enough from me. Our DD2 is a Katrina victim. Katrina took her and her precious DH's clothes, food, job and left them with a home...

OT - Ouch! (kind of long) by Louise
Seems like we've had a few on the group recently who've suffered some type of injury or another -- add me to the list! I've never been known for being particularly graceful (spraining an ankle by jumping up in the air and landing with my foot on the door stop, spraining another when I tripped...

I've put some pictures of my "new" sewing machine up on webshots -- http://community.webshots.com/album/428344461SuSpMV She was made in Elizabethtown, New Jersey in 1922 -- which makes her older than my Mom! Since I named my Featherweight after my maternal GM, (Laura), this one is named after my...

Quilted Christmas Tree by Julia in MN[_5_]
I've had a cold for a couple weeks and my normally-well-controlled-asthma has flared badly. I've come to the conclusion that I'm probably reacting the the real Christmas tree, so that went out today. I started 5 days of prednisone today & I'm already feeling better -- not sure if it's due to...
