o/t News - ssshhh it's a secret! by
Morag in Scotland
Hi all,
Very excited. Have just found out that I am pregnant again and the baby is
due first week in June. Feeling a wee bit sick but otherwise OK, but tired.
Seem to be getting big quickly - almost out of my jeans already and i'm only
6 weeks. Hoping it's not twins, or triplets....

At the second hand store I found a Singer French addtion treadle

($75 talk down to $50ish) except for the band which needs tightening
it is in perfact condition. I am busy talking my self out of it. DH
says Why do you need that...

Shona in NZ
Hey Sandy,
My Mum is talking about possibly making a trip to Las Vegas while I am
there. If we do, I am guessing it will be sometime during the last two weeks
in June, are you going to be around for a meet-up?

Full circle by
Michelle C.
Had a quilting realization yesterday--I've come full circle. When I
first started quilting, I did everything by hand because I didn't know
much about using a sewing machine, and mine was temperamental to boot.
When I finally got a good sewing machine, I vowed to become comfortable
with it, and...

Finished project plus new (?) technique by
Leslie& The Furbabies in MO.
I purchased some wooden boxes- I think of them as Treasure Boxes- at Hobby
Lobby. (They run $20-30 but I've managed to catch them at half price sales
in early December and stock up!) The boxes have an area with glass for a
4X6 in. photo. And, of course, a 4X6 quilted postcard fits in there! ...

My Janome 6600 sm decided it had enough after one handbag! The stinker- it
quit making stitches, so Monday morning off to the repair shop it goes. I
switched to my little Janome Jem and made a tote to be used with a walker.
If you click on each picture, there is a description under the...

This was going to be the year to make Me a quilt, as well as a BOM, and
possibly a quilt for DD. I may still get to do all of those but they got
pushed back. Life came and said..you know that quilt you always wanted to
make for DMIL? Its time. She needs it now. So, I am listening. She...

I asked to see the pattern, she said she didn't have it yet, this was...

Result of an internal stash raid :-) by
Heidi from Germany
Hi,
several weeks ago DD asked: may I sew something ?
I hadn't even finished the answer 'Yes, you may' when she already
began to select some of my best pinks. She sewed some things before,
but this is the first time she cut the squares by herself.
When the squares were sewn together, I convinced...

Quilter Gift by
Nancy Speicher
Hi,
This group is always a wealth of knowledge and suggestions, so I turn to all
of you asking for ideas on a gift for a fellow quilter. It should cost
about $15-$20. So what would you want to receive in that price range?
TIA,
Nancy in MD
