OT -- Wanted by blackrosequilts
Wanted: A computer that breaks down less often than I do. I got a new computer 2 and a half weeks ago. Its power supply went kerphlooey Tuesday morning. They're making good on it and sending a tech over to our house to install a new power supply.

Looky at my mud pies! by Sunny
Ok, a couple of you suggested I post pics of my very, very, very unfinished and still in progress Red project. It's rough, guys. I have never attempted anything like this before and I'm really not sure how it will turn out. But I'm having more fun that I've ever had on a project before. This is...

Quilters show up in the most unusual places too. by Debra
Today I met a male quilter. He is an electrician working at our "so new it's not open for business yet" Walmart. He makes quilts for Christmas presents for some of his family members every year. He really didn't look like a quilter--30 something, spikey hair, black rocker t-shirt, no thread bits...

I'd rather be quilting by julia sidebottom
Today is the once a month routine IV therapy that I have to have and all the plans I had to be able to stitch went out the window today. I thought I would be able to sit back and tie the crazy quilt but that hasn't happened. Every time I went to give a good tug on the ribbons to pull them...

Semi-OT--Christmas seed bead embellishments by monique
I've found and fallen for some tiny little white seed beads that are striped! Some are red and white, some green and white, and some white with red and green. They look like Christmas candy! I'd love to put some in projects, but they come in hanks of 4,000. Anybody want to go in on a bunch...

Need iron advice by [email protected]
Hi fellow quilt lovers, I need help and/or advice about irons. Every iron I have had in the past few years hasn't lasted more than 6-9 months no matter what brand or how much I paid for it. I currently have a Rowenta that I bought around Christmas last year and it has begun to spit. I mean really...

My "Red" project by Sunny
I haven't even sewn but a few seams and already this project has taught me more than I've learned in several years of quilting. Oh my goodness. I knew I was setting a challenge for myself, but I thought parts would be simple. I assumed the only thing I needed to do for the sky was find the...

OT why I'm a pack rat by KJ
But not a good enough one! DD just called to ask me to look for old clothes for "Totally 80's Day" at band camp. (She's the director.) A friend and I had a business back in the 80's in Scottsdale. We decorated clothes (think long T-shirts with rhinestones and appliques and "clips" to pull the...

Off for a few days by Maureen Wozniak
I'm off to the hinterlands of Illinois for the local ASG chapter's semi-annual sewing retreat. Have fun while I'm gone. The stash has been freshly organized for you raiders. The QI guards can be bribed by sharp cheddar cheese and fresh hamburger. If you take the fabric for the quilt guild's...
