Looking for African quilt pattern by
Sewnut
I am looking for a pattern for a wallhanging I saw a few years ago. It was
nine blocks, some had an appliquéd African-type woman's head in profile and
some had an appliquéd bird on them. If anyone knows what I am talking
about, please let me know where I can find this pattern. Or is...

Thank you for your help. by
Lisa Fields
Just wanted to thank everyone for their help with my quilt problem. All
suggestions were taken to heart. I am binding it this week I will post a pic
of it on our family web site.
What I ended up doing was, unknotting it pined everything and I didn't use
as many knots as I had before.
Thanks...

OT taxes questions - any experts? by
Dr. Quilter
Obviously I know nothing about taxes. Just got a shock when I did the
calculations for 2003 and noticed for the first time we owe a big chunk
(at least for us, since in the past we always got a couple hundred bucks
back). Remember we rent, we don't get too much interest from savings
accounts, and...

There was a recent conversation about redoing kitchen cabinets or something of
the like, unfortunately I can't remember which of you lovely women is involved
with a paint store? I would like to refinish my kitchen cabinets (can't afford
to replace) but there seems to be some sort of varnish or...

alphabet block/ mistified one by
dreamboat
In order for your abc block quilt to work you have to
make a 30-block quilt with 5 blocks across and
6 blocks down with 4 blank blocks on the corners.
You could put a design on the blank blocks.

Totally OT, Please forgive by
teleflora
I don't know where else to ask this question, so I hope you will bear with
me.
Several months ago, I bought a feather bed. It was expensive, but I have
wanted one for years and I believe I got a good deal on it.
I have tried everything in the world and you can't sleep on it. The
feathers poke...

Stippling and baby quilts by
Harri Kulju Erin Winslow
Hej!
I remember someone posting recently that one should not use plastic thread
on a baby quilt. Is there any reason not to stipple one using normal sewing
thread? I have a new cousin and am making a 100 Akers Wood quilt for her.
Thanks!

great it is. I've been importing some images from other programs and putting
them in my fabric library to use in some of the blocks I've been...
