stitch dial setting for ribbing by toypup
Do you set your stitch dial at a lower value for ribbing in your standard sweaters? How much lower? I'm making my first sweater. I guess it will be trial and error, but I'm looking for a good starting point.

ribbing question by toypup
On my Artisan JBL-245 with ribber, the ribbing on 20 needles and smallest stitch dial setting is wider than the stockinette stitch at stitch dial 5. I can make the stockinette stitch looser, but it won't look very nice -- too loose. What solution do I have? I am new to this, so please explain...

The End Of The Line? by Ron Hubbard
About three or four years ago I had knitted a lengthy little scarf (about 12 ft) that for some reason is beginning to unravel at one end. I've long since lost the instructions to the knitting machine and forgotten how I closed it off in the first place. Does anyone have any suggestions for...

Brother KH-230 by [email protected]
Hello all, I retrieved this old machine from the loft today, together with its KR-230 ribber with the intention of shipping it to a friend in Eastern Europe who would make good use of it. Can't find the manuals anywhere though. Is there a chance that I might be able to get a photocopy...

Back to basics by Marion Pearcey
It is over a year since I have used my Brother 950i knitting machine and to my horror I had to refer to the instruction book now and again to refresh my memory. This is from someone who has been machine knitting for at least 40 years. Moral here - don't leave it so long in...

manual by Carole
Karen I have a manual for the 950 from when I had my machine converted. The basic programming is the same but it won't tell you how to do the "extras". I can't remember all the differences but it would get you started. If you are interested and in the uk send me your address privately and I will...

new sponge bar fixed ribber problem by sally
I just got a ribber for my toyota 950, the 506, and it didn't work, the needles kept catching. Well, it was the sponge bar that had lost it's loftiness and 'strength' that was causing it, it wasn't keeping the needles down well enough. Those few millimeters was just enough for it to catch. So,...
