2 1/4" grosgrain equivalent by
vpenoso
I make these climbing shoe covers.
I am using a 2 1/4" grosgrain but I am looking for something a little more
abrasion resistant and a little heavier?
I do not want to cut to width or cut to length and would rather buy by the
roll.
Anyone have any ideas?

I posted this message on the rec.photos.digital group, but didn't get

Dirt cheap overlockers on ebay (Australia) by
Janice Rae
I'm posting this on a couple of groups, as I'm not sure what one is
more appropriate.
I've been looking on ebay (Australia), including completed auctions -
and boy - there's some great overlocker bargins on there!
Here's a couple of examples:

Hair beading by
Jen
Does anyone know how to put beads in hair? I know how to braid, but I don't
know how to make the beads stay in. I've googled, but no luck. A web site
would be good.

Lining Question by
Ward
Hello All!
I am making a very basic straight skirt with a matching cardigan style
jacket. The fabric is a wool, actually it's some men's suiting fabric I
bought a couple years ago to make a suit for my husband. The project never
materialized, no pun intended, so now the fabric is mine. I will...

My Entries in the Oregon State Fair by
BEI Design
I went to the fair today with my family and took pictures of my
entries. These were for the most part taken through glass, so some of
the details aren't very clear, and I forgot to take a picture of one
suit. Here they a

help with bra band alteration, please by
[email protected]
Help, please! I wear a 30DD bra and the only one that I can find in
this size costs $60--if I can find it. A woman at the bra shop told me
that her daughter has the same problem, but she buys any RTW bra that
fits in the cups and then cuts the band down to fit. Unfortunately, the
woman didn't sew...

SEWING MACHINE FAIRY STRUCK! by
Melinda Meahan - take out TRASH to reply
I was cleaning out my closet, and you'll never guess what I found -- a
lovely tan-and-white Singer 401A in perfect condition. It only has the
teeniest of scratches on the bed and absolutely no rust or anything.
The bobbin winder looks like it was never used -- still has the little
molding joint on...

Adjusting pattern sizing question by
Sara
Hi everyone! I hope someone can offer me some advice. I'm sewing a pair of
pants and it's my first try a a pattern that isn't one of the "easy" ones.
Here's the issue: my hips are one size smaller than my waist. Can I just
cut on the larger waistline and blend the pattern cutting lines...

Frog costume by

I need instructions or a pattern to make a frog costume for my daughters
school play. I'm a good sewer, so there's no problem there, I just don't
have the imagination.
Does anyone have any patterns?
