Recipe search: Off topic - no chocolate! by
jennellh
There is an old pineapple dessert recipe that I have been trying to
find - it required crushed pineapple, crushed vanilla wafers, whipping
cream and a mix of marg/butter with eggs - all this is layered
overnight before serving. My problem is that I cannot remember the
marg/butter/egg(I think...

me for signing up and giving me "my" user name/password and login and
telling me to click the link to change my details.
Upon checking my very...

OT Wobbly connection by
NightMist
My connection has been wobbly the past day or so. So If I miss
anything important, send me chocolate and FQs as condolances.
The browser is staggering and stalling all over the place, usenet
downloads say there are so many new headers and then only give me half
or a third as many.
DH says it is...

OT - Cat peeing... by
Johanna Gibson
Hello folks,
About 2 days ago, I put reflective collars on Daisy and Poppy,
because I am having a roommate for 4 weeks and I'm afraid that one of
them will slip out the door when she is coming and going.
Well, I never knew how easy I had it when I had one cat. One of the
cats peed on my red...

Batik scrap bag squishie to the first responder (by email)! Not teeny
tiny scraps. Not yet prewashed (from a scrap sale). Purples, reds/
burgundies, yellows... you know you want them. :) If you're not in
the directory, email your address. Actually, you might want to email
it anyway - who knows...

Festival of Quilts by
Patti
Reporting in, after a day to recover!
The show this year was outstanding. Mind you, some of the 'things'
people call quilts were jaw-dropping!
On the whole, though, there were a thousand or so terrific quilts in the
Open classes; and several wonderful exhibitions of professional work. I...

You may have seen something on the news about the heavy rains and
flooding in the southeastern part of Minnesota. There has been a lot of
devastation. Seven people were killed and I think there are still some
missing. The little town of Rushford is a disaster with about a third of
the homes...

The Hokie Quilt is finished by

As I've mentioned here already, I've been making a
Hokie Quilt for the family of a Virginia Tech Student
who was murdered on April 16, 2007. Others guild
members made quilts, so we have one for each family. I
finished mine yesterday. While I am pleased to be
finished in time, and am pleased...

thread count by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
I was hoping someone had bought backing online and thus I'd be able to
piggy back and trust the quality - but so far, no luck.
So, can someone explain thread count to me, I really have no clue, I've
seen 320 count and 200 count.
Cheers

muslin as backing by
Anne Rogers[_3_]
it's a bit of a dim question, but do you think muslin is ok as the
backing for a wall hanging? it's small, 25 inches square.
Cheers
