A friend of mine just got back from a visit to the coast where she found a yarn shop and purchased some gorgeous stuff in hopes she could get me to make her a scarf. She said she asked the woman how many balls it would take for a scarf and was told it should take two. I'm looking at these balls...

update on DH's stash raid by georg
He's finished his scarf. It's 2.5 feet wide and 6 feet long (0.75 x 2 m). It's really pretty, but, um, rather awkward for a scarf. So he's already picked out a couple of skeins of yarn and intends to make a narrower scarf. =) -georg
