Good read by lewmew
Just finished Fractured by Karen Slaughter. Pretty good story and a couple of interesting characters I hope we'll see more of. If you're looking for something to read on a cold winter night, I recommend it. Linda

Rally BIG Ephinany by anne
My current project is a free style/surface embroidery interpretation of Alma Lynn's Fannie Flosswinder which can be seen at: (http://www.almalynnestudios.com/Webpages/CrossStitch/Fannie.html). My ground is off white cotton with a not too intrusive pattern. Rather than covering the apron in satin...

Stash knowledge - part 2 by anne
This morning I went hunting for a Judith Baker Montano Crazy Quilt stitching book. I found it but it wasn't where I thought it should be. How are your books organized? Most of mine are arranged by technique and then by author or title, although all my A-Z books are together. -- another anne,...

stash knowledge by anne
Although I've got a lot of stuff, it is nowhere near what long term stitchers have accumulated. Yesterday, I wanted to experiment with angelina fibers and couldn't find them. I emptied almost all the drawers and they were still hiding. Imagine my surprise when I turned around and saw them on the...

I opted out of the buttons and pompoms because the kids are still really young. We added some McDonald's Arch cards for them...so that the purse would...

Working with VeryVelvet by chanab
I'm working on a painted canvas needlepoint and I bought some Very Velvet thread for the curtains on the picture. Can someone tell me a good stitch to use as the thread seems very thin and the canvas shows through no matter what basic stitch I use. ------------------------------------- Ann B....

Hi-- I am trying to complete my collection of the perforated paper santas created by Sandy (Sandra) Cozzolino. They were first published by Willmaur Crafts, then Bucilla, then Janlynn, and are currently put out by Mill Hill. The ones I am looking for are the older ones. If you know a shop...

Can someone help me with a pattern? by pecan[_3_]
It's been a good few years since I last posted here! Since then much has happened, including a new nephew. I've spent the entire day today searching for an interesting pattern for a 2-year old boy, and haven't found anything that "speaks to me". Does anyone have a pattern for me - preferably...
