Well, I said this in another post, but I have decided not to stitch the Safari
Series on the black evenweave. I switched to Aida. If the LNS didn't cut the
sizes wrong, I would go 2 over 2 on the evenweave, but alas the fabric...

Does anyone know if there are any free Christmas motif charts on line.
Really small ones, about 10 to 15 stitches size. They are to go on a name

CATS Festival Schedule has arrived!!!! by
Tia Mary-remove nekoluvr to reply
Hi Guys,
I got my book of classes today -- loads of neat stuff again. Just a few
complaints -- no color pictures in the book but that's not surprising -- they
ARE $$$ to print. The Banquet is now $75 -- of course, the sampler that is
offered after you eat is from Lorri birmingham, Liz Turner...

A different way of storing floss for projects. by
F.James Cripwell
I have tried various methods of keeping floss for a particular
project, and have yet to find a way I find completely satisfactory.
I have had cardboard strips with holes in them. I don't like all the
ends of the different colours getting twisted together, and find the
holes are too close to each...

Nicotine stains on needlework by
Carolyn Wagner
I recently received a stamped cross-stitch that my grandmother did many,
many years ago (at least 40). It had been professionally framed under glass;
however, she had been a very heavy smoker, and the protective covering on
the back has been torn. I don't know if it was torn while it was hanging...

OT.Ballerinas, too silly! by

All but two of the ballerinas were in costume early for the matinee
performance. At 1:55 the distressed director asked this pair of women why
they were not yet in costume. The first one said, "it may seem like a silly
superstition but I never put mine on until 1:58." 'What about you, the...

Wisper Thread by
Linda Wright
I am doing a project on 28 count linen and it calls for Wisper thread.
I've found that it just doesn't stay fuzzy after the first two or
three stitches. Any suggestions, or is Wisper best saved for larger
Aida type cloth?
TIA.
