OT Quilty weekend by
Sewingsue
Had a girlfriend staying with me for the weekend and as the computer is in
the guest room I have been off-line since Friday morning.
300 unread messages! We are a chatty lot g
So I am throwing an armful of hugs, warm, positive thoughts and happy dances
into the air above the cyberquilting frame....

A very special (((((HUG))))) to the wonderful quilter who sent me a
Squishy today!!! It couldn't have arrived at a better time because I
spent the day getting selected to be on a criminal trial jury for most
of this week! *Big sigh* I'm busy enough as it is, and was planning to

WIP -- applique roses quilt top (photo link) by
the black rose
http://community.webshots.com/photo/143983013/370527165fNrZTH
I realized after completing 6 blocks that trying to make all 12 would be
rather larger than the lap quilt I intended. :-) Six blocks did nicely.

actually doing something by
CNYstitcher
Not that it's a quilt for me or to anybody from me, but I got to work on
a quilt over the weekend and a bit more last night. My student decided
to make a quilt for her son and his fiancee as a wedding present.
Trouble is that she doesn't have all of the tools that she needs to do
it properly, so...

Need instructions quickly by
Betsy Ross
I just finished hand work on what will
be the center of a 12-inch block. The
block will be one square, the center
applique, inside four triangles. The
triangles will be cut from a single
12-inch square piece so the outside
edges of the block will be on the bias.
I know this is not ideal, but I...

I needed. Some I have sent on when I get a request for blocks. But I still
have a box full of blocks and fabric. Is there any objection to me using
them in donation...

Any one know a way to do this? I've tried a couple different ways and
it's just too darn big! Either that, or the papers are too small? !

Angles.... angles.... by
the black rose
I was mousing around in Jinny Beyer's website recently, and was
intrigued by this quilt: http://tinyurl.com/c5eky
I'm chewing on what those angles are. There's the square in the center.
There are some straight-up 45 degree diamonds surrounding it that are
touching points. At least I *think*...

I went to an Amish Auction by

My hubby and I just wondered upon an Amish Auction that was going on. There
were very few common people there. They had lots of quilts for sale. New,
old, toppers, baby size, and wall hangings one right after another. I bought
a new wall hanging that is all hand sewn. The pattern is Sunshine...

Question - cotton knit by
Leanne
I am presently making a T-shirt quilt. I just found a large quantity of
cotton knit which I must have purchased years ago to make shirts. Can I use
this for a backing without any problems? Should I wash it first since all
of the T-shirts have been washed? Just wondering!

black and white pastoral toile by

I just picked up 10 yards of this glorious stuff --very french with hay

yards get me? I am thinking of putting French blackwork(needlepoint)
in so that might stretch it. I bought black grosgrain for the binding
so anxious to...
