Need help........ :) by
Susie
Could someone help me please.
I went to my first class yesterday.
I did some practice work and then she got me started on a hat.
I came home with about two or three inches done and then tried
some more and after a time I looked at it and the stitches are different
looking. It is like I'm seeing the...

Knitting Peeves? by
DA
I hate it when I have spent a couple of weeks knitting a sweater out of a
nice yarn, with a complex pattern or unusual design and the first time I
wear it, some one says "You know, I saw a sweater just like that at
WallMart/KMart".
What is your pet knitting peeve?

One hump or two? by
Every knitting project has a "hump," a point from which you can see the
finish and the going gets easier.
She says to knit 14 inches from start of knitting to beginning of arm
gussets, so I stop and measure my progress every couple of hours. I know it
silly, but I can not help myself. I get into...

The YarnWright
Curiousity query!!
Do you knit Continental/German or English/American?
Continental= hold yarn in left hand, and 'pick' your stitches....
English= hold yarn in right hand, and "throw".....

Washing wools by
Karen in MN
How do you all wash your wools?
I wash EVERYTHING before putting it together and when I'm finished -- even
though I wash my hands before I pick up my knitting, it's amazing how much
dirt / oil comes out of them when they're washed. I have always
handwashed -- soaked in Woolite, rolled it in a...

Hi Everyone,

Back in July, Janise gave me the address of Coats and Clark to send them a
letter stating that I did charity crocheting for Project Linus. I did that and
thought nothing of it again. Yesterday while DH and...

How many of you reading this, are afraid to post to the group??? How long

I'm just wondering because I love to knit and am learning to crochet
and I have a small family who doesn't appreciate hand-crafted items
(or are too hard to please etc.)and I can't possibly use everything I
make. I have thought about selling some of my work just to finance my

Spinning and Weaving by
Neal Rogers
Hi everyone:
I'm new to this newsgroup and wondered if anyone is interested in weaving
and hand or wheel spinning. I didn't see any other newsgroups devoted to
looms and wheels.
The reason I'm asking is that my wife and her youngest daughter are
presently taking spinning lessons through a local...
