Pat in Virginia
Yep, quilts, quilt books, and chocolate ... all in one lovely
afternoon. It doesn't get much better than that, even on a very
hot and humid day. A friend and I went for lunch yesterday, at
the Trellis Restaurant in Williamsburg, Virginia ... kitchen of
the famous Death By Chocolate Dessert and...

DD and I got back from our trip this afternoon, tired, but very happy. We
pulled bolts and bolts of fabric from Randy's quilt shop
http://www.randysquiltshop.com/index.html in Greensboro, NC. We kept the
ladies very busy cutting and cutting lots of fabrics for DD's quilt. I think
she picked a great...

don't eat the escolar! by
Dr. Quilter
On the 4th I went to a nice restaurant here in Seattle, and ordered the
escolar with greens. Turns out it is also called the ExLax fish, and boy
is that name right! Within an hour of eating it I thought I was
dying.... good thing is it goes away as soon as it appears, after you
hit the bath. After...

Parkay flooring what? by
QuiltShopHopper
A friend of mine said that my 4 inch squares of multicolored batiks looked
like parkay flooring.
Does that mean the margarine side of the toast hit the kitchen tiles face
down?
"Butter!"
lifting the lid, "Parkay!"
But seriously folks, does anyone know what parkay flooring is?

I made several sets last winter, thanks to Merry's careful guide in the

Hannukah. She just told me, last week, that every time she uses them, she
thinks of my dd and that she uses them OFTEN!!...

Maple Leaf - Revisited by
Jennifer Hepworth
Mardi, I don't understand why you would now want to put a 1" border
around each block? It seems to me that ending up with a =BD" finished
strip tagged on to each block only looks as though you want to avoid
joining seams where there are points to match. If this is the case,
then you could avoid...

Stack n Whack - Small sized quilts - Need help with yardage by
Elisheva Bailey
Hi everyone! I just took a Stack n Whack class and we used Bethany's
book on the subject. The book's smallest quilt makes 8 15" blocks. Our
teacher gave us measurements on what size to cut the fabrics for
making smaller quilts, but didn't have the yardage amounts. Has anyone
ever figured out the...
