Ava Michelle has finally arrived! She was born at 12:47 am on October 20,
2005 weighing in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces. Proud papa said she was beautiful
and very pink. They had not yet measured her for length when he called me
so I have to get that detail yet. Everyone is doing wonderfully and...

Gunky iron by
frood
I was pressing on some Daisy Scout patches today, and grabbed a bit of handy
fabric to use as a press cloth. Ooops! The iron had some gunk on it and it
transfered to this lovely yellow sun fabric I have!
So, 2 questions. How do I clean the gunk off my iron, using only things I
have in the house -...

What to take to a quilt retreat? by
[email protected]
Hi gang!
I am so excited! I am headed for my first quilt retreat this weekend.
I've started packing for it and would like to know from anyone who has
been what are absolute must-haves? I think I have packed all of the
basics, so I'm looking for what would really come in handy. BTW, I'm
taking a...

I have just been diagnosed with Lyme Disease. I've been in a lot of
pain for months and finally have an answer. Has anyone here had it, or

OT - unbord granddarling prayers needed by
Queen of Squishies
Initial testing has shown that my unborn granddarling my son is expecting
may have Spina bifida. Further testing is being done to determine if this
is the case or not. They are both pretty stressed about this, and of course
we are very concerned as well. All prayers for this little one will...

Oops! How to repair small hole in quilt top by
Bob & Kathleen
I have been working on a wholecloth for about 2 years. Finally finished
and realized that at some time I clipped too close to the fabric and has
a cut about 1/4 long. Not near a quilting line. Any ideas of how to
perform an invisible mend?

Now I feel guilty. by
Phyllis Nilsson
This morning, at 8 a.m., I left the house and went to a garage sale that
advertised quilting fabric, but they wouldn't open until 9. I dropped
some books off at the library and went back and sat until they opened
about 5 minutes early. I was the first one in the garage and told her
I'd take all...

Not entirely OT -- sewing project woes by
the black rose
I make beautiful quilts, but I'm hopeless with a garment. So when the
LQS scheduled sewing classes, I signed up. Having a project isn't
required, but recommended. So with the next class coming up on Tuesday
the 11th and being zippers, I leafed through my very small collection of
patterns and...

so I'm going to try it here on a different thread since it really is a
different topic basically. So here goes:
On the topic of my "wedding quilt" which will...
