For the Canadians, especially if they live in Nova Scotia by Cheryl Isaak
I've been haunting The Needlework Show site looking for updates. This designer (designers?) is out of one my favorite places in the world http://applecrossstitchdesigns.com/ I might have to get my mother the Peggy's Cove lighthouse chart and I want (don't need, just want) the Provincial Flowers...

OFF TOPIC by Cheryl Isaak
Well, it's been a busy day and gratefully, I don't have to leave the house again. First, DD outgrew her most recent "nice top", in a record 6 weeks. And all her bottoms now have holes in the knees. And well, no "nicer" shoes. And we are expected at my folks for family dinner at a nice restaurant...

Went to Stitching Retreat by Magic Mood Jeep
This past weekend an internet group I participate in had a "retreat" not too far from where I live. There were 22 women in attendance, and we rented out the main 'cabin' at a church camp. The lone male in attendance only made an appearance when called upon, as he lived in a house on the...

Very OT, for the gardeners. by Gillian Murray
Jim found this site and sent it to me. I had to buy a can of soup, since I had none in the house LOL. It is a similar concept to Sheena's rice thing, but Campbells gives free seeds to community and 4H gardens as well as to me. ........................................ Campbell's Soup will...

What to do with Stash by MargW
I've been going through my stash and listing everything I can. (I've been working on it for about two weeks off and on, and I still have at least a week of two to go. I also spent some time last week making a list of about 30 books donated to our Guild by the husband of a deceased member. ...

stitching chair story by Amber
A funny little story: I have two chairs at home, and they both fill up space, so next week I'm going to throw one of them out to 'big garbage day'. They both have their advantages and I tried them side by side but the deciding vote came to... the one easier to stitch in, hehe.

Anyone looking at the Needlework Show? by Cheryl Isaak
I've had a quick go through. Nothing has said "BUY ME" (might be for the best). Honestly, some of the pages look like the same old stuff. Cheryl

conversion charts by [email protected]
Hi there! I'm looking for conversion charts for VA and Trebla/Duchess threads to Anchor/DMC. Preferably DMC. I've looked round the net and found a Duchess conversion chart for sale on a website, but it would cost me £7. There must be something else out there!

OT - dumb dumb dumb dumb by anne
For years, I used a software program to do my taxes. That stopped when I got a letter from the IRS telling me I owed a lot of money! I quickly found an accountant who figured out that I hadn't reported some investment income but that I didn't owe as much as the IRS said I did. This year, things...

What have you lost lately? by anne
In addition to not so little bits of my brain, I can't find a container of drop crystals that I wanted to use for a tassel. After I went through all my drawers not once, not twice but three times, the purple threads that I thought were gone for good turned up under a beading tray on my work...
