We never have ordinary problems in this house... OT (ish!) by Kate Dicey
I just went to load up the washing machine with a silk/delicates load, and half the numbers on the temperature dial smudged off in an oily smear on my fingers! ARGH! Now DH will have to pull the knob off and engrave it for me so I can wash my fabric and clothes at the right temperatures! ...

spyware by KJ
I have been about ready to tear my hair out the last couple of days. My computer had slowed down to less than a crawl and it had some other glitches that I can't take the time to describe. So I downloaded Spybot on a hunch and ran a scan. Then "fixed" the found culprits. Everything is back...

OT - homework struggles by Kim E
DS has really been struggling in school the last few months. I have been telling DH and DS that I think a major part of the problem is that DS's ADD meds were changed from Adderall to Strattera. Both of the male members of my family have been blowing me off (usually I take care of medical issues,...

Dreaming of quilts by Marcella Peek
Ok, in two weeks I have heard two national quilters say,"I dreamed this quilt" as they pointed to a quilt they had made. One even went on to say,"the quilt is that size because that is the size it was in my dream" 'Fess up quilters, how many of you dream the quilts you make? I can honestly say I...

Off Topic: For Pilots by Butterfly
Just a lil brag to let you know DD has a published article in the latest __Plane and Pilot__ Magazine April 2005, page 66. They wrote a real nice 'author info' spot on her. It's her first try and it was published :) Butterfly (since you are my only Quilting Bee--I just had to share)

OT warm fuzzy by maryd
DH interview for a job last week and found out the interviewer had a preemie granddaughter in the local NICU. Since I had several preemie caps here, he took them to the grandma and told her to pick her favorites for Anna Belle and give the remaining to the unit. (There were 18 caps.) Today...

OT will Australia please report in? by Polly Esther
DH says he only "half" heard it - but there was just something on our tv news about Australia being hit by a 180 mph wind. Being mindful that DH's hearing is not exactly half to begin with, I don't know what he might have heard. Would all of our Ozzies please let us know that you are okay? ...

Happy Dance and Sewing Area by Teresa in Colorado
I finished the large Red/White/Blue Log Cabin that I've been working on for almost 5 years. Yippee!!! It was almost a disaster - the blue in the border ran (and I always pre-wash), but it's done and delivered. I posted a photo on my web-site (below). To celebrate, I cleaned the sewing room. I...

OT - Rogue Anti-Spyware by Musicmaker
I recently went to an online page where I could test my computer's vulnerability. I had Norton antivirus and firewall. I was very vulnerable, and unable to view my own web page. Inaddition, when I tried to install service pack 2, I had even more problems.. I've since deleted Norton...

fifth grade class asking for Postcards in Phoenix, AZ by Christina in Ok
I received a letter from my Niece in Phoenix, AZ a few days ago. Instead of passing this along by snail mail, I thought maybe the quilting group would be willing to help out. Since we are talking about children, and a school I have removed names and replaced them with *Child & XXXX. I will ONLY...

Please take no action until you have read the whole message. Many of you have asked NanaV for her address, to send her a squishy, a card, or....you know. PLEASE, if anyone knows NanaV's address, please email me privately. I have a very wonderful reason for wanting to know, that would help her so...

Happy Dancing! by Scorpio
I finished a project tonight. 100% finished. Binding, label, the whole thing. It has 241 different fabrics in it. (I made it using fabric from the baseball swap!) It is about 50*60 inches. I love it!! It is on it's way to my grandma's.
