Bernette 410 -- stitch length problems by
AMM
I have a Bernette (sp?) 410 sewing machine that we bought

I'm fairly happy with it (especially when I look at what
new machines cost), except for one problem:
it's not very good at pulling the cloth through at a consistent
rate.
The stitch length will vary by a...

Bernina 1080 Light Problem by
TerMarL
The small work light (behind the needle) of my Bernina 1080 is giving me
fits. The on/off switch does engage properly. As long as I'm holding the
switch button in, the lights stays on. When I release the button, the light
goes out. I'm been told by a local Bernina dealer that the switch is...

Bernina 830 by
SueJohnston
Can any one advise me if it is worth having a Bernina 930 serviced. I
have been given one to keep, but the machine has not been used for
many years. It looks in very good condition and has many attachments.
Or should I trade it against a new toyota machine. I have no sewing
experience, but would...

Bernina 850 stitch bad by
Jewels
I have an Industrie Bernina 850. It has been working great and all of a sudden
the top thread did a whiplash motion and the backside of the stitch is very
loose and loopy. I got a burr on the needle, it was obvious there was a
problem. Changed the needle, made certain the timing was correct with...

Bernina fraud on eBay by
sewfine
Yes, it's unfortunate but true that Berninas and other high end sewing
machines are frequent fraud items on eBay. However, the auction
Phaedrine referenced appears to be legitimate. Yes, Bernina says only
the tech is supposed to be able to see how many hours are on the
machine, but everyone who...

Bernina: Used 1530 vs new 220 by
[email protected]
Hello all,
This was to be a surprise for my wife, who is just getting into
quilting. We had decided to get her a good tool that would last for a
long time, and some local quilters convinced us that a Bernina 220
would be a good option. I guess other people had the same idea, since
the dealer...

Best fabric for placemats and napkins? by
Pat
Can anyone tell me of the best fabric for making placemats and napkins that
won't wrinkle and curl and need to be ironed? I want something that comes
out of the dryer looking halfway decent.
Denim maybe?
thanks,
Pat
